After receiving the letter, Shamus goes about to find the information sought by the Jusaticar. He does nothing out of the ordinary at first. Simply verifying information about Beckett and Hograth

Shamus would discover that Hogarth is nowhere to be seen, neither is Mover I Cecilia Tels. The rumours and gossip are already beginning to fly around The Barracks and Shamus would hear: they have both been possessed and dragged to The Far Realm, they eloped and are having an illicit affair, they were killed by anarchist agents and a great many more.
Mover Becket it seems is in charge of a force garrisoning The Gatehouse and containing the threat posed by a far realm portal that has opened there.

A reply is sent to Charae. It is short and without pleasantries. One would almost assume it was written with the intent to tell the reader to "read between the lines wrote:Justicar
Mover Beckett is assigned to Arcadia, teaching advanced tactics and logistics to new members. He has family in Sigil, more specifically the Gatehouse, and he has been in the city since the Carnivals.
I have yet to find Hograths current assignment and cannot verify his status at this time.
