Nienna, accompanied by Chardon, drags the wanted Rethys Crimson into the barracks. The redhead is kept silent by a silver and cold-iron studded ball gag. Her hands are bound with reversed gauntlets which push the wearer's fingers back. A key was not included.

After a brief spout of banter between the three, Nienna steps forward to explain the situation to Charles while Crimson is taken to a holding cell.

"Greetings. Crimson was found in the Bazaar, and lacking an observant hard-head, I found it fit to deliver her to you. Please, make sure she enjoys her stay."

Nienna also includes a letter addressed to Mover Two Cadaveus.

It would most likely have looked like a rather unwilling journey, the entire trip from Khazeet's to the Barracks spent being dragged by her dress and threatened by a dagger in the hands of the elven fiend-hunter.

Amazingly, she sits mostly quietly in her cell, although at some point a few minutes after sitting down her gag can be seen to be removed. Still, she surprisingly does not attempt to engage the guard to her cell in conversation, instead seemingly willing to wait for the arrival of the inevitable interrogator, although the faint smile on her lips seems somewhat incongruous.

She is taken to Harmonium custody without much of hesitation, there is warrant of her out after all. The gauntlets and gloves are removed once she reaches the cell, with force due to lack of key. Gag akin is removed, she is however given new pair of bracers which akin have locks in them, though purpose might not become obvious right away, she might find difficulty of trying to channel any magical energy through hands with them on. A new prototype toy of Harmonium out for field test.

((Interrogation to come out later on when I get some time))

Later that day Cadaveus walks to the cellblock to meet with Rthethys
"So you're the demonologist we've been looking for. I take it that you haven't yet heard the latest news, Hildmor d'Kridis has been banished from the City of Sigil and all territories supervised by the triad of order. Alongside other much more petty penalties... which leaves you in awkward position I might add, since there's little more we need of you. We'll be taking your case to trials soon as well. As will many of the prominent members of Cartel or other co-conspirators as they are caught one by one. Since it'd seem the judge forgot we pressed the same charges on both organizations as well... But if we have to drag down everyone individually, then so must be done. Anything you would wish to speak of or prefer to be let to keep your peace in the cell for now?" [/li]

She smiles and sighs softly, giving a shrug of her bare shoulders.

"I can't say I do be surprised. If he'd have been less stubborn and listened to the capable people around him, he'd still be free. As for me, I find it rather interesting that I'm to be tried, as last I heard neither the binding of fiends nor the keeping of ledgers do be against the law, and figured my own arrest to be simply a ploy to get me to implicate him further."

Reaching forward with her shackled hands, she makes a gesture of seeming helplessness, while her rather revealing (and surprisingly clean) white dress combines with her innate charisma to present a vision that would tug at most normal males' libidos. ((26 cha, 28 bluff score, and there's got to be some bonsues for all the cleavage!))

"Perhaps you'd like to share what I'm being charged with. After all, I would absolutely hate for an error to result in a straining of what up to now have been most amiable relations with your Faction. After all, ser... Cadaveus, was it? Yes, Cadaveus. I'm sure you can see where having someone like me as a friend could be... oh, let's say useful."

*The door to the cellblock would open after a short, hushed, discussion with the guards. In would walk Garen Seph, who would politely ask (in quiet tones that could not be heard by the prisoner) permission of Cadaveus to be allowed to sit in on the interrogation as it would help greatly for him to better understand the internal workings of the Cartel and Syndicate.

*Actually they're literally just bracers, not shackles per say, though locks to prevent removing them, just specifying due to my lack of elaboration previously*

"Cadaveus indeed, yes. Mover two of the Public Safety Department and lead investigator in the case.

We have reasons to believe that you have been co-conspiring with Hildmor d'Kridis and you seem to do little to judge his actions, only his stubborness. Also you seemed to bring fiends to assist Hildmor to perform actions against the Judge Owen, we have a sensory stone in which Hildmor himself tells the details of baatezu altering its form to that of Owen to make it seem like he had performed murder, and another where Hildmor names the person that is responsible of these baatezu being brought in... your name. We can of course ask the Fraternity how much they appreciate your aid against their high-standing member if you want?

The thing is, we don't really need you anymore after he's out of picture, of course being so closely tied to his organization... there may yet come a deal to strike, as you say you might be useful, for one the accounting and ledgers probably reveal much more, it struct me highly suspicious that several months of organized business documentation had suddenly vanished from an active "merchant" group, despite all the recent "business arrangements" that the banished one claimed to have occurred.

Secondly there are a lot of suspicious people assigned by the organization, or Hildmor whom runs the business. You could of course help us by helping yourself with additional information about their illegal activities and where to find proofs.

I suppose the final question to you will be, whether you consider your freedom more valuable than theirs?"

((edit after noticing DarkRob had posted in middle))

Cadaveus would nod at him and gesture him to take a seat, Cadaveus seems to be upright and walking from side to side as if restless, his left hand behind his back and right hand seems to talk along with him as he goes on and on. He'd also indicate at Rhethys Crimson "This is Garen Seph, our prosecutor and hero of the hour. Garen Seph meet Rhethys Crimson."

Garen sits on a chair across from the cell and takes out a small notebook. He jots things down from time to time but mostly just watches the prisoner intently. There is no emotion on his face and he doesnÂ’t seem to be influenced by flashes of flesh or workings of wordsÂ… if he was, he certainly didnÂ’t show it (very high bluff and diplomacy (at work, canÂ’t check numbers)). He moves methodically and deliberately when it is necessary for him to moveÂ… still rarely taking his eyes off the prisoner.

He hardly watches Cadaveus at all nor does he respond to noises from beyond the cellblock. He merely watches the prisonerÂ… her reactions, her mannerisms, the way she answers questions, everything visually possible.

She would know by simply studying his attire and his jewelry (and quite possibly his reputation), that he was an accomplished mage and he was most likely highly enchanted (buffed) all the while he was studying her.

The sorceress leans back in her chair with a slight smile, taking a deep breath that does rather alarming things to her dress before speaking.

"Ahh, I believe you do be having it entirely wrong. Owen, and his entire family, actually owe their very lives to my intercession. A certain gentleman, I'm certain you can guess who without me speaking his name, had asked for them to be slain, and was preparing to send assassins. It did be myself who changed his mind, and convinced him that his vendetta would be better served by a dose of disgrace. Of course, this becomes especially interesting when you consider that poor Owen had already been removed from that man's case at the time, so any actions taken against him were done so against a private citizen of Sigil, and most certainly not an acting member of the Fraternity of Order."

Her legs cross and uncross, coming dangerously close to exposing what they should not.

"Of course, what did eventually happen to Owen, he needs to take an equal apportionment of blame for. I simply did two things, neither of which was a direct act against the man. The bard Emberlynne, I seduced and captured in the Outlands, I will no dispute that. Under laws that I have seen admitted in the pages of SIGIS in recent days, having her within my power, or more precisely in my satchel, prior to entering Sigil makes... pardon me, made her my chattel. Chattel which I proposed to barter with a Brachina for the simple task of seducing Owen's wife. Publicly. Had he focused more on loving his family than on attempting to bring down the man who we shall not name here, this ploy would have failed, and no harm done aside from the collateral damage to lovely Emberlynne. And had he the self-control not to strike and beat members of his family, the taking of the dear girl's soul by the baatezu would have gone quite unnoticed aside from the Dustmen who had to transport the body. And let me further emphasize that the rather bloody means of extracting the bard's soul occurred after the completion of my contract with the Brachina, as she already had the girl's body and was no longer under my direction. So make of that what you will, dears... But also understand that I do be wiser than to commit crimes within Sigil, so I see little reason for you to bother charging me, and wasting the time of the courts with frivolous casework."

Another deep, unconcerting breath as she finishes her rather long-winded soliloquy and offers her sweetest smile to the two men.

An interesting storyÂ… one IÂ’ve no doubt is entirely true. You see I believe you when you tell us thisÂ… I also understand why. You are an accomplished binder. That, in and of itself, is a powerful art that takes immense controlÂ… and controlÂ… thatÂ’s the one thing you need to have. ItÂ’s nothing I am surprised about. As a matter of fact itÂ’s to be admired and respected. Control is a powerful thing and for one to lose controlÂ… well it shows a lack of willÂ… it shows weaknessÂ… hm?

See in telling us the truthÂ… it keeps you in control of the situation. It ensures you maintain control of the interrogation by showing us thatÂ… you are in charge of your own being even though you now find yourself in shackles.

I thank you for maintaining such an air of control. It not only makes your life easierÂ… it also makes our lives easier as well and that makes everyone satisfied.

SoÂ… hopefully you can help me with a couple of things while still maintaining control of the situationÂ… as IÂ’m sure you would most certainly not appreciate losing control of it and handing such control over to usÂ… hm?

It is our understanding that there are missing books, accounting books, for the Cartel. IÂ’d like to know where these books are. IÂ’d like for you to hand them over to us or to tell us exactly where they are. I would be most interested in looking them over. NowÂ… I realize you currently are under no obligation to hand them over, a measure of control you still maintainÂ… but if I was to have a warrant produced, well that would turn control over to us. You would be caged here, indefinitely, until the warrant was satisfied and any control you have over the situation would quickly dissipate. Told when to eat. Told when to sleep. When to walk, when to sit. What to wear, who to talk to and what to doÂ… until you once again took control and gave us the books.

WeÂ’d also like a complete listing of all members of the Cartel and all associates. We are open to making deals, again giving you control, in return for any help you can offer. SoÂ… can we come to an agreement?

((Diplomacy for what itÂ’s worth, is 38 or 40 and intimidate is 35 Â… canÂ’t verify atm))
