Sigil: City of Doors

　　Last night an hour before anti-peak, an altercation erupted over a failed attempt at romance between a paid guest of Chirper's Apartments in Room #5 and a visitor to their room. After the visitor's advances were rejected and she was asked to leave the victim's room, the visitor drew a dagger and attacked the pregnant victim from behind.

　　The attacker is Poppy Petaltea, a halfling woman of the prime of Oerth.

　　The victim of this crime is Namer Thistle Greenvale, of The Society of Sensation.

　　Fortunately, the victim's guests present were two additional Sensates who aided in subduing the attacker. The victim was healed, and taken to safety. Witness to the crime are Factotum Xujja of The Society and Namer Vari of The Society.

　　The attacker was left alone and alive in the room they had refused to leave in the first place

Having collaborated with the Sensate Factotum to comprise a full description and likeness of this "Poppy Petaltea", Notary Reina had thereafter taken this report to the barracks to have on file, thereafter searching for the accused to bring them in for questioning.

Poppy was, with much convincing to come along quietly the day after, brought in to be questioned, with Aide Kaltia Tsaryov assisting in the questioning.

The halfling threatened that should she be imprisoned, she would rather fight for her life and likely die in the process, but otherwise gave no real resistance.

The questioning took some few hours long, and from it, it was deduced that Poppy either "snapped" out of being scorned by what she viewed as her family betraying her, thereby assaulting "Thistle" out of rage, or was possessed by something magical or psionic in the act. Kaltia and Reina thought the former more viable, given contexts, and recommended she visit the gatehouse to take on therapy.

There is little reason to believe that the assault on Thistle has not taken place, but there are counterclaims as to unwanted sexual advances from the part of Xujja. Neither Xujja nor any of his apparent family have been questioned on the matter as of yet.

A few days later, the order went out for Poppy to be arrested pending investigation and trial. She was eventually apprehended, and held without bail due to the evidence of instability.

((I realize that several people were involved in this story, but ProjectRandom has made it very clear that they are not interested in legal RP, and there aren't any other options IC. So it is safe to assume Poppy is going through the legal system in character for the foreseeable future, but we will not be playing this out in game.))
