Greetings fellow member of the Red Death,
I have been noted to not contact the headquarters unless the mission is nearing success or we are assigned to wrap things up, but a new discovery has arised that consents a general report and warning based around recent events of greater magnitude.
As of late yesterday an event occurred that no doubt many of you may have seen the effects of, an exceptionally strong negative energy impulse which appeared to kill some of the members of the Sigil, and cause them to rise in newly found hunger for bloodshed. They pose little danger, but consulting a member of Dustman for their expertise of corpses and the study of corpses provided a small bit of insight of the proposed sources and events tied to this.
However it bears noting that this event while initially appeared to be only occurring within the Sigil has turned out to be much more broad in scale. I heard similar matters occurred in the elemental plane of earth and pandemonium.
Only real clues were given a relatively recent mass suicide along the Temple of Abyss within the Sigil, a potential ritual zone to have unleashed this entity for its full potential. Several people went to investigate this place and found the temple itself having been shut at the time being, however an informant came to notion that all efforts were too late for an Atropus which goes by the name of "Great Hunger" among many other things.
The said emissary had made it clear that all efforts to stop this entity were indubitably pointless. As past events he noted that there was an attempt by the Githyanki to stop this entity within Astral plane, but a fleet had failed to do so. We were assured that the entity itself would not attempt to approach the borders of Sigil itself, and as such initially given "comfort" of avoiding the danger until it was noted that it did not need to enter as it could make sure its reign is felt from the outside... this proposes that it is still afraid of her Serenity, but may still pose a problem with portals or external attacks.
Potential danger may expand to Dustmen and Doomguard - stay alert. This has already caused many victims and many more may come.
I have little information of the actual consistency or structure of this entity "Atropus", but I am at limited time to make actual research. Many details missing, further reports to be given at later date, official investigation suggested.
