Down in the seemingly endless depths of the prison, behind iron gates and warded doors, the sound of churning ore, humming machinery, and a smiths hammer rang.

Each strike served as a drum beat, on the march of a long held secret towards the light.

CLANG!

Five years. Even as Dace Andor forged the dhaele steel, the surreal fact had barely sunk in. Five years since that fateful battle, and the struggles that led to it. Five years since they happened upon this wondrous and terrible alchemy. The very key of ultimate justice....

CLANG!

...or terrible crime.

As the Factor smote the steel into shape, fears he had long since pushed aside began to return. What would happen when the other Factions learnt of this foundry, deep within the Prison? Would the Doomguard strike some bargain for the secrets of this ultimate weapon? Would the Athar attempt to stake a claim to their long lost technology, and wield it against even those gods who had no crimes to answer for? Or might the Baatorian devils, whom he was even now in the process of inviting into the city, find a way to steal this deadly lore?

CLANG!

No. Nothing had changed. These fears may all be true, but in the end, it did not matter. Justice had to be done that day in the Salt Planes, as it had before, and as it continued to since. There were and always would be those who would use any weapon for ill, bend any magic to crime. That was not a sufficient reason to cower.

CLANG!

Five years ago they had found the secrets of this steel. He knew then what he knew now; this was the key to seeing Justice prevail. Now and forever, no one would escape, not even the immortals of the Abyss. As the steel once felled a god of Nightmares, so too will it strike down all enemies of law. Project Indigo began those years ago to ensure the Mercykillers would never march empty handed against such threats, and now, at long last....now was the time to reap the fruits of that labor.

CLANG!

He examined the blade. The ore was harder to work than even metalline. Still, he was pleased with its form. A straight, double edged blade, ending in a long, thin point. Soon, it's blade would be marked with glyphs in an arcane language.
I am the sword of Judgment,
Wielded by the Master of the Red Death
My bite is punishment eternal,
Your infinity now forfeit.
It would not be much longer before The Sigil of Justice was complete, and ready to be presented to Factol Alisohn Nilesia. With it, a new chapter in the Red Death's book of vengeance would be opened...
I just want to kill monsters and get prizes for it. Is that REALLY so much to ask for?
