(stats and levels have been discussed in PM’s – Don’t want to give all Mila’s secrets away ;) )

Mila stood in the shadows at the end of the long lane and waited. She had chosen this route because, traditionally, it was safe for the Harmonium. The usual patrols that would move between checkpoints were talented enough that they fear for little in such a safe neighborhood. The buildings were made of stone and kept relatively neat and tidy. This wasnÂ’t to say this was a Harmonium or Triad strongholdÂ… only that indifference to the trio kept it peaceful for the patrols.

So, after watching the route for a few days, Mila was ready to strike. There were no fancy plans to worry about. Just a few precautions taken by the powerful spell-flinger before Anarchy was let loose upon the area. The area chosen was between checkpoints so it would be several minutes before help might arrive.

It was still early in the dayÂ… but hidden in the shadowÂ… she waited.

She has not to wait long.

The first signs of the arrivinf patrol are sublte, noticable even before the sound of heavy boots on cobblestones echoe between the buildings.

It is a certain tension, a certain nervousity that spreads through the people as most here can be never sure that the Hardheads are not coming for them.

Yet both locals and Hardheads do their best to ignore each other, the patrol moving doen the street quickly, the early light shommering on theur lobster's suits. Their leader is a tall woman, wearing an openfaced helmet that shows her strikingly blue eyes. An arming sword by her side and a kite shield showing both the symbols of the Harmonium and St. Cuthbert on her arm she moves with the confidence only great experience brings.

On her chest her rank is proudly displayed- a Measure II.

Behind her four faceless troopers- following with sure step but also with some dowsyness, their halberds resting on their shoulders.

From the shadows a smile crosses the face of the observer. Five troopsÂ… experiencedÂ… deadlyÂ… more than she could have hoped. Her eyes shifted slightly from patient stalker to crazed animal. Pure excitement filled her as she prepared to strike.

At once there was action. A flick of the wrist, a motion of the wand, and a wall of fire burst across the street, igniting the air around it with heavy flame. It lit the street about 30 feet ahead of the patrol. Even at this distance they could feel the heat from the magical barrier.

While her invisibility vanished at the attack, Mila had prepared prior to this. Hair tied back and face and body painted with heavy anarchy symbols, two clubs armedÂ… one in each hand, defensive spells that would not fade while waiting. Haste (pers), premonition, spider skins and stoneskins. Immunities to fire, electricity. Shadow shields, mind defencesÂ… a complete myriad of spells (not all listed but include those generally saved for wandering the planes).

Moving extraordinarily fast, Mila charged through the flames at her targets, screaming wildly. Most of her body (except her face so as to not block vision, hands to keep a solid grip and feet to prevent slipping) had been doused in lamp oil just for this purpose. She burst into flames as she passed through the firewall. All the patrol saw, and those locals who had not yet had time to react, was a tremendously fast woman, engulfed in fire, lit up by arcane energy while wielding two visibly enchanted clubs and screaming like a crazed banshee, rush the group.

((if it matters, her intimidate is 8))

There is shouting, screaming a fire in Sigil is always bad news and the locals react accordingly- most trying to get out of Mila's way, others however running towards this scene just to see what is going on and if there are opportunities to loot already.

The patrol itself was taken by surprise, their leader staring at Mila- and at first she was even worried about this woman on fire, perhaps was even ready to help but this attitude changed quickly when she realized what she is really up to.

Yet the Measure's bafflement bought the anarchist valuble time, time she needs to close with the squad of nervous soldiers- one setting his halberd against her charge, one trying to hide behind thje Measure, one even turned to calm a screaming woman nearby while the last just froze with fear or surprise.

The woman gets her shield up in time and draws her blade, trying to rally her squad with a quick command.

"Stand fast! Set polearms against charge!"

Mila moved at the group at full speed, both clubs spinning. Her immediate target was not the measure, but the four men that followed her.

Counting on the fact that her spells would afford her the luxury of absorbing the impact of their weapons, she moved directly for them. Upon reaching them she would spin, in an attempt to brush any waiting halberds to the side so she could easily attack the men.

Although she ignored the measure, she would keep a defensive eye on her as she would any enemy awaiting her focus in combat.

Unlike traditional magi, Mila had extensive experience in melee combat. She was specially talented in two weapon combat and defense.

((Her AC would be 43. She would get ((in mechanical terms)) 7 attacks a round (total) with the two weapons. Both clubs are enchanted with hold and blindness with no enchantment bonus (to minimize damage). She is going to concentrate on “non-lethal” contact spots. She doesn’t care if she hurts them, burns them, breaks bones, etc… so long as she doesn’t kill them… at least not all of them. She’s simply trying to hold and blind them long enough to subdue/drug them.))

The four troopers are still in disarray, they have had no time to get into a proper formation and now as their opponent is right between them their inexperience turns the pole arms from an asset to a hindrance.

Mila lands a few good blows, seems to have blinded one trooper, the man dropping his weapons, trying to pull his helmet off in panic.

"Fall back on my position, regroup!", the Measure cries then realizing her troopers will not be able to follow that order she lifts her shield proudly, her next words rich with magic. "Saint Cuthbert guide us!"

Mira feels the magic wash over her, not having much effect on herself but the notices that the troopers get calmer, their attacks getting more precise again.

Mila continues to swat and bash her opponents as much as she can. Slamming a leg here, cracking an arm there, blocking counter attacks as she does... much like she does in the Abyss where her chaotic style serves her well. Premonitions warning her of impact, stoneskin absorbing those that get through and concealments due to visage when they help. She maintains a high speed and frequent connection from the clubs on her targets as she knows she must drop them quickly. She continues to focus on the men until they are no longer a threat. Only then (unless defensive) will she turn on the measure.

As the flames die out, her painted Anarchy symbols become more and more prominent. She wears them proudly as she assails the group, still screaming like a crazed lunatic.

The troopers now try to fight but now as one of them is incapacitated and the others still in disarray their attempt to fend of Mila are rather feeble and ineffecitive.

The Measure cries out another prayer and joins the fray but instead of attacking she tried to defend her companions, deflecting blows with her shield, using her blade to keep Mila at a distance.

The anarchist realizes that this one is more dangerous and while she seems desperate at the first glance Mila realizes that this one is playing for time.

Mila Growls and shouts at the Measure "Enough's enough, Bitch!". She then quickly casts Truestrike.

She then turns her full attention at the Measure and goes in swinging.

((While I can't verify Mila's AB (I'm at work) I can tell you it's decently high. Add 20 to it for 9 seconds for her all out assault on this woman))

The Measure stands her ground, gritting her teeth as the blows are falling on her, then she is slowly pushed backwards but also manages to land some painful blows on the advancing anarchist.

Then she stumbles, almost falling- but with the hint of a smile on her face?
