In room of Gymnasium, nimble fingers moved the quill with intent and purpose of swordsman aiming for deadly thrust. And the one writing on the scroll had reasons behind the urgency of fast writing.

The strange, but seemingly unimportant thing that happened not so long ago bothered conscience of namer. The thoughts said to forget and move on, just like good little Hiver.

But body said otherwise. It did not take long for her to get to the halls with determination and parchment to match. Whole tale of meeting the living construct of Mechanus and information about mysterious criminal for whom it was dispatched with information about his likeness and bounty estimated by box called Root of Nine was included in lengthy report, which was sent to the Factol.

Again, namer Raila had absolutely no idea why she did it, but she trusted her body. After all, action without thought would not bring harm, right?

A few hours later she is approached by a small man in baggy trousers, wearing a baggy shirt.

He moves swiftly, nimbly, a body not following the mind but a body following its own rythm, in great Harmony with itself.

"You are namer Raila? I am Desland, Master of the Spirits. The Factol got your message.

It is not the first time an inevitable was sent to Sigil to hunt down one of them.

Another one was slain recently- causing some temporal explosion. And one of the Sensates was questioned by them, too."

"That is correct. I am namer Raila." Tiefling greeted the man with bow and gesture. Her eyes lingered on his body, perhaps in awe, but most likely in grudging respect.

"Something damaged this inevitable named RX 678. I am not sure if he was taken by modrons, but he was gone when I came back."

Shade of doubt touched her face, when she remembered something.

"This thief of time... Is he that dangerous?"

"Lets walk together.", he invites the woman and starts to stroll along the corridors of the Great Gymnasium.

"Damaging an inevitable permanently is not easy. The opponent must have been impressive."

Repeatedly he glances at the woman, noticing how she moves, how she holds herself but he does not comment.

"This thief of time you mentioned is something that is not unknown to us. Indeed two of our most promising Masters of the Heart might have encountered one a few years ago. Only one returned. He reported....", he stops all the sudden, reaches for Raila's armour and quickly adjusts a strap. Then he moves on as if nothing has happened, taking up the sentence where he interrupted it.
The tiefling notices she is moving more easily- even this small thing having some effect.

"... a contest between his companion and a being commonly called Time Thief. His friend withered away, aging quickly until dying of old age- in just a few seconds. Of course witnessing this the body told him to run... which is why we have this report.

More importently... there were recently a few incidents in Sigil that might have been caused by Time Thieves. An inevitable destroyed near the portal of Baator.... and some Sensate performer made a suckling babe again. If you feel like you shall investigate... you now know where to start."

There were so many things blond basher wanted to ask this senior.

How would one be able to steal time?

How one would be able to defeat creature like that with steel and brawn?

And does Lady of Blades even has power over this intruder?

She wanted to ask, but was afraid to hear the answer.

But there was one urge.

"I will try scanning the chants. Mayhap I can get that unholy pile of jink after all."
There was no facade of arrogance or bravery - this time, tiefling preferred to be surrounded by jagged chivs of Hive gangs than meet this culprit.

"Mayhap you find even more."

He smiles then walks on, soon mingling with a few namers in training, taking up their routine of stretching and gymnastics.

Returning to the Gymnasium halls, Raila approached the muscles of the establishment, Ciphers like her. There was a scroll and two boxes in her hands, both filled with jink. Offering them both, there was short explanation about job done and the need to produce results to the Factol. The reward, bounty offered for head of the critter, and full description of happenings inside the monster's hideout. All that left with the men, gaunt tiefling moved out to the Martket, with need to blow off the steam.

Desland meets her but does not say anything, a smile and a pat on her shoulder shows her he approves and she is sure that her rise through the faction will be watched.

Then a five days later a butly halforc passes past her- and she knows him from their brawls on the arena floor.

" That is for you. The Box of Nine gave it to me.... no idea what it does"

He tosses a small box to her and then is gone, wasting no other tought on it.

It is made of smooth golden metal and on its sides the designation RX 678 is engraved.

Relaxing on the bench at the center of Market, with face devoid of interest ot passion, Raila already forgot about the incident, thinking of more fights, jink and way to relieve strain. Just when she stood up, intent on meeting the masseuse and remove her stiffness in the legs, the orc took her by surprise.

The phrase he said catched her off-guard, her body reacting on the box with catch while mind relived the events days before.

Returning to present, basher shook her head and looked the box over.
The container alone looked like it was worth enough to buy case in Lady's Ward. Quite suspicious of the mechanoid logic, tiefling carefully opened the box, looking inside.

The box opens with the soft whirr of well oiled cogs and it unfolds almost like a flower to reveal a smaller version of herself.

A perfect replication of her body, the movents matching her speed, following the same limitations as her real body would. It is obviously enchanted reacting to her thoughts and emotions and by just watching it the tiefling feels that she can learn more about herself.

Both art and tool it is not the only gift- the other thing a small disk wrapped in a note that identifies it as a key to Mechanus, fitting the portal hidden in Root of Nine's Warehouse.
