Since her arrival in the City of Doors the Succubus Mella'tharix had been doing her best to improve the lot of the average citizen, mostly by reuniting them with their lost possessions. She had spent the past few cycles going around and finding lost things to reunite them with their rightful owners. Sometimes she had to go to surprising lengths to find lost things. Like the carpet that she found in an estate in the Lady's Ward. it had been quite an effort to haul it up and drag it away. The people who had lived there had not been very helpful. They kept on saying it was theirs, but she could see by the way it didn't match their curtains it wasn't really so someone else must have lost it. After some gentle persuasion she was able to take it with her. Or the merchant wagon she found in the clerks ward, that had been a struggle to get moving but eventually with a few good shoves she had got it rolling down the hill towards the Bazzar. After a long few days of work she had happily set up stall in the Bazzar hoping the rightful owners of these things would come and claim them. Today she was offering:

One Table - Found in a house in The Guild Ward

Some Dead Berk- Found in a ditch in The Hive

A Barrel filled with Ale - Found in the cellar of The Styx Oarsman

A Wagon - Found in The Clerks Ward

A Carpet - Found in an estate in the Lady's Ward

A Tantuhlor Ingot - She forgot where she Found That

A set of Mechanus Cogs - Found on a sleeping Paladin in the Golden Bariur

A ring of Celestial Glory - Found on the same sleeping Paladin

And some Vestments of Fallen Shadow - Found on a man who tried to rob her.

So far she was a little confused with the cage though people kept on trying to pay her for their own things.

The following day the Succubus is seen screaming shouting and prodding a Harmonium officer outside of Layla's herbalist stall as she chastises him loudly for being untidy, claims sarcastically to be a fey and then storms off in the direction of the clerks ward after handing him a bundle heavy looking red armor.

Again the two demon's had been seen in the Bazaar reuniting people with their lost property. Mella'tharix was pleased, she had united a gnome with his lost rogue stone, and a woman, some kind of Gensai she thought, was she a Gensai? The Succubus was not sure if she was a Succubus so she did not feel qualified to comment on whether other people were Gensai or not. But whatever it was she had given it back the flame volley bow she had lost in the hands of that elf that was face down in the ditch. Carless. And some dragon had tried saying that it had lost its boots of the sun soul, but she was not silly, oh no those boots did not fit a dragon. There was another dragon too who had lost a Slaad skin scarf and found some armour. Smelled of Baatezu though the armour. Nasty scheming... But after seeing the dragon she had to admit he carried it off with a certain style. Was likely his scarf.

She was pleased the stall did well. And it furthered her goal, her other goal. What was that again? She'd forgotten.

The incubus was pleased with how things went.
Spreading chaos here, provoking a violent response there- the Abyss grew with every little chaotic or violent act. It was easy to get people to embrace chaos if they are rewarded for that.
The demon reaches into its pocket to examine what it kept hidden there.

A still beating heart, kept alive by its magic and the glyphs carved into the cage it wrapped around the organ. Harvesting the heart was not easy as it must be a strong one and undamaged. Demons do not part with theirs easily so it was a struggle to get it.
It took several attempts before the incubus has suceeeded and quickly it sealed it away, just how it was described in the book. But it seems to work now, the capturing chaotic and evil energies the demon creates with its behaviour.
Jaxates wanted to show it to the the other demon but they were interrupted by a inquisitive mist that turns into a vampire sometimes so it must try again. It is their chance their chance to be free.

They met long ago when...

... a pack of Rutterkin hunts under Thanatos' bleak sky, six of them closing on on some trespassers. They are warm, alive but armed and armoured and the demons did not care why they were here. They are just prey, someting to satiate their hunger for pain and violence, something that can suffer to ease their own suffering.

But they were surprisingly strong and they slaughtered the pack easily. Especially the tall female in that silver armour and the blade that caused the demons misshapen head so terrible pain by just looking at it.

Only two rutterkin were standing at the end to feast upon the corpses- the creature that would be Jaxates one day and a smaller, younger one which was a good shot with the Tri- Blade.

The large rutterkin considered twisting its smaller companion's arms of for a moment but then felt something odd. The little demon has been useful. Was strong in its own way. And there was something else, something hard to describe. Kinship perhaps?

Somehow they stayed together, evolved. Lost each other. Found each other again. Not all it can remember...

.... but it does not matter.

There are trinkets who need to be returned to their owners and chaotic energies must be unleashed. Carefully the demon puts that grisly heart-in-a-cage away again. So much to do, so much to do....
