Greetings Cager, Today we have a huge patch! Curtsey of Flattedfifth,

Warchanter will be coming Later this week, apologies for the delay

FlattedFifth

Crafting Change:

You may now use the smithing hammer to re-cut a cut gem. Gems cannot be attempted to be re-cut more than once. To re-cut a gem you must be near a gem-cutting station and must have an adamantine dagger in your inventory to use as a chisel (you do not need to be able to equip the dagger as a weapon). There are two ways you can attempt to re-cut a gem:

1: Intentionally mark the gem to downgrade its quality by 1 degree. Flawless becomes regular, regular becomes flawed. Flawed cannot be downgraded. This requires an Appraise roll vs a DC of 30.

2: Re-cut the gem to make a smaller gem with fewer flaws by cutting around the existing flaws. Flawed becomes regular, regular becomes flawless, and flawless cannot be upgraded. This requires an Appraise roll vs a random DC that can be from 35 to 99, inclusive.

In either case, a roll of a natural 1 shatters the gem, and a roll of natural 20 is an automatic success. A failed roll that is not a natural 1 will not shatter the gem, but you have learned that the gem cannot be re-cut without destroying it. No one else can attempt to recut the gem, either. A success will upgrade or downgrade the gem accordingly by 1 degree only. You cannot attempt to re-cut twice so you cannot upgrade a flawed to flawless or downgrade flawless to flawed.

This feature works with existing smithing hammers, you do not need to buy a new one if you have one already.

Mining Change:

Mining areas that are not in Elemental Earth Plane will produce fewer useless gems such as amber, nune, etc.

New Chat Command:

#testcraftcost will turn on crafting costs on the test server for a player who wishes to test crafting bugs/features related to cost. This only affects the player using the command, not other players on the server at the same time. Typing the same again will turn costs back off again. This command only works on the test server, it does nothing on main server.

Dragon (base race) changes: (No rebuild required)

White dragon now gets same con-drain breath as topaz. This does not drain con on targets immune to cold, does not drain undead, elementals, or constructs, and will not drain con from the same target twice. Deals double damage and double con drain to oozes and plants.

Shadow dragon now gets 1d6 negative damage that drains con. This does not work on targets immune to negative damage, does not drain undead, elementals, or constructs, and will not drain con from the same target twice. Undead take 1/2 damage as magical damage instead of negative damage.

Radiant dragon light breath will not blind creatures immune to positive damage (if/when there are any).

All dragons now get Draconic Bloodline feat for free (+1 fort save and intimidate, -1 diplomacy and tumble). Gem dragons also receive Psionically Gifted as before.

All dragons get damage reduction of 5/material. Material is silver for dragons whose racial normal alignment is lawful and cold iron for others (including amethyst).

Changing back to dragon form from alt form no longer forces you to rest.

Dragon RPrC changes: (Rebuild required)

ECL raised from +3 to +4

There are two Dragon RPrC's: Normal and Telepathic. Any species of dragon may take either (but not both). Normal dragon RPrC requires dragon race and BAB 2 or greater. Telepathic dragon RPrC requires dragon race, BAB of 2 or greater, and at least one level of Psion or Psychic Warrior.

Both have 6 levels and have most skills as class skills.

Both have high BAB and d12 hp.

Both grant a non-stacking natural ac of 2 + prc level, total +8 at level 6.

At level 6 both grant multiattack (natural form only), as well as draconic presence, tail sweep, and roar.

Both gain the same draconic skill bonuses based on race as before, but now at levels 3 and 6.

Both gain +2 con on lvl 1, +1 str per level, and an additional +2 to a specific ability at second level depending on the path one chooses at first level.

Normal Dragon RPrC Paths:

-Path of the Blood: Requires at least 1 level of Sorcerer. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Charisma at second level. Advances Sorcerer spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Bound: Requires at least 1 level of Warlock. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Charisma at second level. Advances Warlock invocations at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Claw: Gains +2 Dexterity at second level. The save DC of the Dragon's Breath increases by +4 and the damage of the tail sweep to d6. The dragon's damage resistance increases by 1 per level beyond first, for a total of DR 10 at level 6. This path also gains an additional +2 natural AC at level 6 for a total of 10 natural AC..

-Path of the Devoted: Requires at least 1 level of Cleric. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Wisdom at second level. Advances Cleric spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Hunt: Requires at least 1 level of Ranger. Gains +2 Dexterity and Scent feat at second level. Advances Ranger spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Oath: Requires at least 1 level of Knight. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Charisma at second level. Advances Knight spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Scholar: Requires at least 1 level of Wizard. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Intelligence at second level. Advances Wizard spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Shadow: Gains +2 Dexterity and Trapfinding feat at second level. Gains +1d6 sneak attack on every even level.

-Path of the Song: Requires at least 1 level of Bard. Gains Extra Music feat and +2 Charisma at second level. Advances Bard spellcasting and songs at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Soul: Requires at least 1 level of Favoured Soul. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Charisma at second level. Advances Favoured Soul spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Spirit: Requires at least 1 level of Shaman. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Wisdom at second level. Advances Shaman spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Wild: Requires at least 1 level of Druid. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Wisdom at second level. Advances Druid spellcasting at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

Telepath Dragon RPrC Paths:

-Path of the Mind: Requires at least 1 level of Psion. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Intelligence at second level. Advances Psion powers at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

-Path of the Will: Requires at least 1 level of Psychic Warrior. Gains Combat Casting feat and +2 Wisdom at second level. Advances Psychic powers at levels 3 through 6 (inclusive).

Bug Fixes:

Corrected error in enchant points logic that was causing incorrect reporting of points on crafted clothing.

Spirit Shaman and Baatezu (hopefully) made more resistant to dispel bug. Player testing and detailed feedback, including race, classes, levels, effects active, and location needed if/when dispel bug encountered again.

Bug that was causing Tactical Weapon granted feats to disappear on unequip even if you have the same feat on another equipped item has been resolved

Other Changes:

Armor Optimization now works with ALL armors EXCEPT cloth and base-game “elven” mithral (works with crafted “sigilian” mithral, though). Rule of thumb: If the base armor AC + max dexterity bonus is greater than 9, armor optimization won’t work.

Scythe (and giant scythe) and ninjato added to Dervish

New login code alerts players if they are sharing the same IP address as another player so that they may change port # in ini file.

FlattedFifth

Bug Fixes:
Bug in Lawful race dragon DR fixed.
Bug in Telepath Dragon Hardening Scales AC fixed
Bug in Telepath Dragon Skill bonuses fixed.
Alertness working again.

Mining Change:
Gem mining in areas that are not elemental earth now have a small chance to produce useless gems, error in logic was causing it to be zero chance.

Other changes:
Gem recutting will no longer work on small gems.
Added slight delay in gem cutting verification code to account for lag due to one user reporting problems.
Gem recutting to improve quality of a gem reduces it in size by one category
DC of recutting to improve will now vary depending on quality and rarity. All DCs are still in the 35-99 range, but the chances of getting a higher DC increase if the gem is going from regular to flawless, and if it’s a sunstone, bloodstone, white diamond, or jasmal (black diamonds are not affected).
