Ogre Mage as player character would have a level adjustment of seven.

Thus a level one character would be level eight character, with five levels of giant inside that level adjustment.

Actually, no. Not to be contrary for contrariness' sake, the Ogre mage character would be a level five character, starting with 5 levels of giant, the ECL making them effective level 12 for advancement purposes, allowing a total of 18 additional class levels.

At least, that's what the sourcebook says (MM p200), as well as the gist I've gotten from Mr. O and (I believe) from posts in the race requests thread. But I'll wait to hear the truth from Crypt or Mr. O before insisting I'm right.

i have been looking a little, but seem to find different info, guess it depends on which version i find, i guess.

there are things i dont like with the info i guess, with some of the various races :(

he he. nah, i am interrested in a Str race. more then +4
