Well, I guess SCOD has been a bit difficult to play on recently. However, pointing at other servers and insulting the tastes of people who play both there and here won't do much to help that.

Edited to add: Especially when the person doing it has a banner under their name that makes it look like staff opinion?

Why so insecure? The only people from actual staff who can form any semblance of anything taken as a staff opinion are server owner and administrators. That should be obvious...

Especially with other servers having people here reporting to their staff what's written on this forum.

It's not obvious. I have no idea whether to treat people with builder and tester tags as staff. On servers I've DMed for in the past, they have been treated as staff.

Also, asking why someone's insecure when they've pointed out a perceived issue isn't great. Again, it adds to an unpleasant atmosphere. I don't think there's a conspiracy where other servers are keeping a close eye on everything you say here. It's just little things like this that makes me think...

I used to come here to relax. Why do I need to point out that insulting peoples' tastes is not nice behaviour?

I'd like to point out that nobody needs to "report" anything. The forums are public, the IRC is public, and the discord is public. If they want to play here or read what's posted, the door is open by default.

And really, its not a competition. No need to treat it as such. :)

This. It's amazing how much content, security, ideas and assistance is shared between the various servers. We're a single community spread over various Mods. Our members move amongst them fluidly and freely. All the main servers Ebb and Flow, population wise as people move about.

Y'all realize how tightknit the NWN2 community really is, right? This isn't some "they're stealing our people" deal. Stop acting like it is, please.

It'll be great as well if people stopped to think that a large server population means it's immediately better. Sigil is a "niche" setting, it'll never have as much as BG. Also a lot of people are passing their exams, on a break or working at the moment :P.

BG and Sigil should make a joint venture - to advertise our servers as a whole.

The world doesnt know that there are two d&d servers out there.
