The next day yet another letter addressed to the Indep Nienna was delivered to Khazeet's.

To my dearest admirer, Indep Nienna.

I thank you very much for your kind words and your invaluable insight. I've already sent a proposal to fine all the traders who don't keep the detailed and accurate expense reports or ledgers.

Now I must admit, your letter is quite confusing. I still don't why do you have such a problem with me, doing my work? Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have opened a stall in the Great Bazaar and you attempted to do business with an individual. That qualifies for trading, is it not? Also, I don't remember interfering with your or anybody else's trade. In fact, as I recall, I backed away and insisted you do your business with your client before resuming or small argument.

Also, how is that my fault, anyway, that the trader in question refuses to present me with Trade License or refuses to pay the tax? After all every sane person has to realize that the sooner they pay-the sooner I go.

Although I must admit, that after reading your last letter I realized that common knowledge wasn't so common, after all. I mean, the taxes work on the same concept through the multiverse, it never changes. no matter which world or plane you visit. It is the same in my home plane and it is the same in Sigil.

I see the error of my way and I promise to redeem myself, by treating every taxpayer as if they are a bunch of imbecils who need to have common knowledge chewed up and forced down their throats for them to understand anything. Therefore I shell dedicate my time to explaining the basic principles of taxation to every taxpayer out there, during tax collection. It will consume even more time than in the past, but if that's what it takes to make you happy, than I am more than happy to oblige.

Also, I'd prefer if you stopped spreading false rumors of me threatening people with Harmonium. I've told you already, I wasn't threatening anybody, but merely warning people about breaking the law. And while we're at it, allow me to explain some of the not so common knowledge to you, as it is clear to me that you need it.

You see, we Fated may not belong to the so-called "Triad", but we play a very vital role in the life of the triad. We are entrusted with the task of tax collection exactly because we're a neutral party and are not a part of "The Triad". Now this part might be hard to comprehend, but we collect the taxes for the Triad.

I'm surprised you don't know it, really. Not to mention that I made it clear in my last letter. You see, The Fraternity of The Order, The Harmonium and Mercykillers on the territory of Sigil are maintained with the help of the taxes that we, the Fated are collecting for them. It is for that reason that evading tax collection is an offense, punishable by law. There are no "unspoken agreements" of any sorts between our factions, but only obligations that we fulfill towards the city and it's people. So is it to much to expect of Harmonium guards to do their duty? I think not.

Last but not least, I'm touched by your concern over my safety, but I have a full confidence in our city's guards and their competence. Thinking anything less would be insulting! After all, what am I gathering all those taxes for?!

P.S: QUIETLY AND ALONE?! Am I a pickpocket of sorts?! Why would I do that?! My job is to provide legal tax service, there's no need for subtlety or finesse. Only cutter's cooperation to get out of their hair as soon as possible.

P.P.S: By the way, the new week is about to arrive, allow me to remind you to keep your Trade License within your hand's reach, just to save us both our time.

Under the vigilance of Heaven and in humility before the Crown, I, Dame Altria Pendragon, submit these words under guarantee of my honor and integrity.

A scant few hours past the namer of the Mercykillers known under the alias of 'Alexis Forbes' walked inside the Foul Olde Spirit Inn in search of the perpetrator of a recent murder within the ward. As a knight and one bound to chivalry and vows of service to the higher virtues of Heaven I do not condemn this. As a matter of fact, I would humbly offer my assistance in this matter should it be felt that the investigators are understaffed.

However, the methods used were not only wholly inappropriate but did not follow the proper legal channels of the city of Sigil. The door inside my private quarters was not knocked upon to request entry despite being locked before it was broken down and I was intruded upon. As I walked out to see what the ruckus was all about I was held at weapon's point by both the afore-mentioned namer and an accompanying golem and ordered to identify myself. Only after I had done so was it seen fit to be explained to me and my guest, which was no doubt outraged by this rude and uncouth behavior, the reason of this intrusion. A warrant was not provided nor any explanation why the namer was not accompanied by a dully sanctioned member of the Harmonium as is the law of Sigil. However seeking not to interfere with the cause of justice, even if it should be carried at the hands of a ill-mannered ruffian, I allowed the search of my quarters without interference.

In her careless disregard for my property, the namer Forbes destroyed multiple vases, dishes, threw down most of the books in my library, threw my personal bedroom into chaos and caused much damage to my bathroom which will require the services of a private contractor to provide repairs to the satisfaction of the proprietor.

This behavior is unsuitable to the pursuit of Justice and does not befit the image of servants of such a higher cause.

In the spirit of forgiveness and good will however I will not pursue legal actions with the Fraternity of Order at this time nor will I seek compensation for the material damages I have been subjected to. I do not seek to strain the finances of an organization dedicated to the pursuit of criminals who have turned their back against the light of Heaven and now seek to prey on the innocent. There is no virtue in such vengeance.

What I do seek in repairs is a reprimand. I formally request that the namer Forbes be firmly reprimanded for her actions and be educated properly once more on procedure and proper demeanor whilst in the service of the law.

I hold no will will and I am certain that the namer Forbes may be turned into a credit to her cause once more if properly chastised on her errant ways.

In humble service to Justice,
Dame Altria Pendragon, knight of the realm of Britannia

I henceforth do so swear upon the vows of chivalry that this document holds naught but the truth,
A waxed seal in the shape of a dragon can be seen here, likely from Altria's signet ring

The terse Namer shrugs stoically upon catching wind of the complaint and makes it a point to not let it bother her unless one of her superiors takes action.
