Just a note: the afore-mentioned messengers deliver the invitations to Sigil's upper class. If that ain't you, and you intend to "crash the party", be advised that Maelfina's and Kalastria's private security will be immensely pleased to give you a "massage" out in the back alley! }:D

A note arrives for Kalastria

Mme Kalastria

It is with great regret that I can no longer promise you the monetary support I previously offered. After being informed about your choice of venue I had decided that it would not be in my best interests. I have the highest regard for Mme Maelfina and her entrepreneurial skills but hold absolutely no fondness for the Hive as a place of Upper Society or worth of class.

When I had offered you the support, it was my understanding that you wanted to create an evening Ball for the upper ranks of the city, so you could mingle and meet those you sought. IÂ’m afraid that holding it in a place where the law has little influence, or where the streets are controlled by gangs of thugs and killers, would be detrimental to the feeling of such an event. While Mme MaelfinaÂ’s establishment is exotic and well protected, the surrounding areas are not. I think you will be hard pressed to convince many of the cityÂ’s more well bred citizens to make any trip into the Hive no matter the Gala promised.

It would have been more acceptable to take up MurielsÂ’ offer. Her establishment is more centrally located and offers a safer environment for those coming and going.

Should you ultimately change your mind, I will be willing to reconsider my decision. Either way, I offer you heartfelt luck in your endeavor and look forward to hearing about the affair should I choose not to attend.

Sincerely

Charles Goodman

OOC note to all: Due to the proximity of July 2nd to the American holiday July 4th, the date of the ball will now be on the 9th instead.

Awww but that's the day before my birthday which, as we all know, everyone should be rightfully celebrating! :oldlecture:

Syclya takes note of the current venue of the ball, shaking her head as she reads the note. "Well myself and those of my house surely won't be attending, the Hive is full of wretched filth. Why not just hold it in that town in undersigil next?" She crumpled up the note and disposed of it properly, by tossing it on a street corner in the Hive Ward. "With that said" The drowess speaks obviosly angered by this girl. "Why not have it in the Ladys Ward where you can attract the people you wish to socialize with? Without having to look at the harlots and thugs just out the window ready to rob anyone as your guests leave for the evening?"

((right, I need some clairvoyance here..., the 9th is vague.

EST is GMT -5 from USA, that means that it will be the 9th 5 hours earlier in Europe than it will in USA.

We need a clear-cut time that everyone can mutually agree on, preferably one that can be done within 24 hours.... I know its a bit of a rush but it came to me that people will be confused, its happened before.

So we need the clear cut answer, "NOW".

We have two realistic windows here:

Option A )
It is presently 00:37AM GMT on the 8th of July as I say this keep in mind, so...
We can either do this at 00:00AM GMT on the 9th of July GMT which would be:
7PM EST
6PM CST
5PM MST
4PM PST

Or

Option B )
We do it late GMT in July 9th at 10:00PM GMT
thats:
5PM EST
4PM CST
3PM MST
2PM PST

Truthfully the time is the biggest factor of attendance because we need a time most can agree on and we dont have alot since the date is close to being fixed.

The only alternative is to push this back yet another week.))

(Option B appeals to me. Events at 1am rob me of vital sleep...)
