Fire In The Clerks Ward

Hasclaan's limited medical knowledge would tell him only that the cuts and scars were caused by something large. The force of whatever landed the blows shattered bones as the claws cut the skin. The wounds themselves are cauterized suggesting the flesh was burned as well as torn. Hasclaan's knowledge of the occult would tell him the creature who did this was some sor of fiend.

As Chari examines the building she would see that most of the structure still remains. But lots if the interior has been burned away the very stones used to build it are blasted and blackened.

"Let me take a look please" Chari says as she lays a hand on Hasclaan's shoulder as she lowers herself down and takes a closer look at the wound on the body.

"Perhaps. A war between the Harmonium and the Doomguards would draw attention- allowing other groups to act unobserved more easily.

So you have not yet questioned the Holy Warrior or the woman who was with us? Interesting.... "

He gets up again, giving the corpses one last glance, making space for the woman.

"I cannot say what exactly killed them but I think it could have been some kind of fiend. Perhaps those brave troopers were able to wound it. If we find some blood we might find out more."

Then he looks at the trooper who showed them around. "Are there no survivors? "

Chari having a much better medical insight would realize one of the dead hard heads was killed by a different type of creature to the others. On the one the wounds are smaller and the burning less pronounced. They seem to have been the victims of a savage frenzied attack however. Unlike the single clinical strike that killed The Mover.

The Notary answers.

"None sir only Ashterot is missing from the dead."

Chari motions Hasclaan closer. "I'm afraid not. I become involved once I learned of the explosion as I suspected Anarchist activity. But this seems to be something entirely different. Look at these wounds. He was killed by another creature than the others" She points to a wounds that are smaller and with less burning. "These are different, smaller with less burning. My guess is a vicious frenzied attack. This entirely different than the surgical strike that assassinated our Mover."

She rises from the body and stands looking over the scene. "Something or something is moving in the shadows. Ashterot is missing? How long would you say that he has been missing? Before or after the attack?"

He nods at what Chari said looking at the wounds again then steps back.

"What do we know about this trooper? This...Ashterot? How long has he been in the Harmonium? Was... is.... he reliable?"

[*Midnight]

The trooper answers.

"Mauric Ashterot is not a member of the Harmonium he was the last prisoner to be signed in here. He was not signed out. His body is not here."

[*Selebius]

"So no survivors."

He turns to Chari.

" I suggest to search for traces of Conjuration magic- both summoning and also teleportation magic. That might solve some riddles. Also do you have a Cleric able to Speak with the Dead?"

" Yes, we have access to both." She turns to the closet Harmonium and repeats the suggestions made by Hasclaan adding she wants a demolition team to take a look.

"Also, let the Mercykillers know we have a prisoner unaccounted for. Mauric Ashterot is to be captured alive, no excuses. Do we know who made the arrest?" She asks the Harmonium.

The model of lawful efficiency the Harmonium respond to their Measure's commands a runner is sent to the prison and one returns from the barracks with a man in red Harmonium mage's robes and another baring the cudgel of St Cuthbert on his shield.

"The arrests were made by Notaries Jekins and Lambert on the orders of Mover Harris, all now deceased Ma'am. The renforcments you asked for have arrived, shall I have them begin?"
