He sits in the boat, his cloak pulled tightly around his body, his hands tucked into his robe's sleeves.
Closing his eyes he concentrates on his magically enhanced senses, his Blidsight showing him the surroundings much clearer than his eyesight ever could, turning the river and cave into a collections of black, whites and greys.
Allowing himself a small smile his mind drifts back to his earlier visits which now seem to be ages ago.

Then, as the boat lands he opens his eyes again, taking in the scenery, noticing what has changed and what not.

He gets up, his movements confident and sure and he steps off the boat after thanking his pilots with a slight nod. The cloak thrown back over his shoulders his head held high he enters the shrine, going directly to her crypt.

He makes his way through the crypt. In the shadows he can hear things crawl and slither. Ahead as with behind he can hear running water. As he aproaches the centre if the cypt smewhere he would guess at the middle and bottom of the structure he saw from the outside he arrives at a set of sealed doors. They open as he nears and the scene inside is quite unexpected unexpected. Grass trees and a garden. Hasclaan can hear birdsong as creatures flutter around the trees and the source of running water is a fountain thatstands as the garden's centre piece. Infront of it on a chair sits a skelatal body clothed in rotten ragged robes which bare the hand and eye of Vecna. Death sitting at the heart of life which is in turn hidden another layer of death. The skeleton turns to regard him. Its size along with its voice suggest once it was probably female. In its lap it holds a crystal scrying ball which it strokes as one would a pet.

"Welcome back Hasclaan. What brings you to the whispered ones door?"

He gives a respectful bow- a rare gesture from him especially as it is genuine and not his usual cool politeness he uses to hide behind.

As he straightens himself again he wears his usual smile, clasps his hands behind his back.

"I am here to find the reason about an increase of demonic activity in this lands. To watch and report... but I am also here to find out more about Iuz.

But the real reason why I come here is that I need informations of course. and who better to ask than the desciples of the Whispered One?"

The lich smiles but that is of very little help. It always looks like it smiles. The light from a daylight spell reflects of polished bone.

"A lot of people are concerned about the demons. The church of Heironeus occupies much of the land above with its search. They seem to be concentrating on two near by temples of Pelor. Or at least what were once near by temples of Pelor. One was overun by the demons another fell to plague and the living dead."

It says nothing about Iuz almost as if it didn't hear what Hasclaan said after the demons.

He notices what she says and he notices what she does not say, the faint smile lingering on his lips.

"I see. This Heironites are very bothersome however... always meddle in things, their zeal leading to a lack of foresight."

He takes the map he copied from his pocket, looking for the Pelorite temples mentured.

"Which ones where hit? This? And this? Or that one?" He points at the map so the lich can see this, the way he talks to the creature showing well that dealing with undead is quite familiar for him.

"Here and here."

The lich points to two spots on the map. One roughly three days ride from wher they are another a few days further.

"There was also a demonic incursion here."

The lich points to a spot of the map on top of a hill several days ride in the opposite direction to the others.

"The Heronites are unaware of this yet though. They will be surprised to know the victims this time were a follower of Nerull and her flock."

Now at this he chuckles- for a reason he keeps to himself but he is well aware that the lich might know anyway.

"Thank you. Now I only must find something I can report. I will start with my observations here... at this temple. I can handle undead better than demons anyway." Taps the map. "I will keep you informed and perhaps I stumble upon something intersting. Reminds me.... a gift." He pulls a thin, leatherbound book from his pockets, it is both warded and arcane locked. "You know how to open it... it contains the latest results of my research. I have not shared this insights with anyone else so far."

The lich takes the book. It does not answer the question but it is reasonable to assume it can open the book.

"Please take what rest and refreshment you need here. The priests above will tend to you."

"Thank you for your hospitality and assistance."

He bows again, then heads out of this chamber, taking the stairs to his right, his steps sure as he navigates the familiar tunnels, his hair somewhat damp as are his clothes.

Then he approaches the closes priest adressing him with firm but polite voice.

"I need a small room a meal and nine hours I can spent undisturbed to rest and prepare myself. But first I would like to pray and seek for the whispered one's guidance."

The man nods

"This way"

Back in the cold damp dark temple so very different to the hidden garden Hasclaan is shown to what is best described as a cell. A small room built of uncomfortable damp stone a bed a bucket and a small shrine to Vecna are all that ocupy it. The priest carries his things for him.

"A meal will be bought to you. I hope you like fish."
