Just an advice, now might be a good time to watch a movie. I'd predict that the issue will persist for the next couple of hours, you'll feel less frustrated if you use the time productively instead of hitting refresh on seeing the server if it is up.

Isn't it convenient that Fallout 4 is out? :P

Do you prefer more sandbox-y play style or personal story? If the former, you'll dislike it more than other bethesda games. If the latter, you'll like it more than the previous.

Just to keep you updated, it's probable that there will be higher amount of downtime in the couple next days around EU evenings. Naturally it's frustrating to everyone, but I figure it's better to mention about it so you can prepare alternative things to spend time productively temporarily.

Some ideas for the mitigation are already floating around, but it'll need some technical work time.

Distributed Denial of Service. Practically the network is getting flooded over its capacity by bogus connections in a way that it's unable to handle legitimate traffic.

Just giving heads up, server has been under some heavy DDoS attacks today. There's a chance it will continue in the few coming days, so I'd plan up some back up things to do. Efforts for mitigation are under way.

Still currently before the mitigation have been got properly working, the best defense is to be a boring victim. So keep it cool and calm. ;)
