Kelth's Return

[*Mausman]

*Kelth snorted briefly, shaking his head*

'eavy be tha 'eart tha' nae shares it's burden, sharp be tha blade tha' cuts innocent soouls in blind rage...shoould've let me gone tae shite after tha' portal shat me oout.

I nae e'en got tha d'sire tae d'fend m'self o'er anythin'.

*And with that, Kelth left, flipping his hood on as he stepped into the rain*

"Perhaps I should have."

*Eve watches Kelth leave and only after he has left the room does she show any emotion than anger. As she slams the door tears fall from Eve's eyes. She cries long after Kelth has left the room. She refuses any attempt to console her. She stays in her room for three days canceling any classes she has. Finally she leave her room and heads to Khazeet's where she proceeds to get drunk and drown out her sorrows. Upon leaving she speaks with Nero and a companion of his when something Nero said backfired convincing Eve to make up her mind to leave Sigil for good. She spends the next week saying goodbye to all the people who have touched her life and the life of her family.*

* Kelth nodded solemnly as he heard her words as he murmured to himself*


" 'pparantly ye didn't listen tae me then...then 'gain...I did nae speak much either...but tha's sayin' somethin' as well..."


*Kelth had been more distant and cold since his return, quite some nights not even sleeping at the accomodation. As for the reason behind his slightly altered behaviour, people would be left guessing. Even those who once were his closest friends would notice a difference. Wether it was for better or worse, remained to be seen*

*Eve starts with Wren, there is a heartfelt goodbye between the two with Eve making Wren to promise to visit her vineyard from time to time. She goes around to all her friends and even goes as far as to sell all her possessions and closing down her store. Finally she ends with Vilanth whom she has grown close to. A few tears are shed between the two and Eve turns to leave and meet her sisters in Brux for the walk home. Those a part of her doesn't want to she does go to seek out Kelth, after eventually finding him she walks up slowly and speaks*

"So I'm guessing you heard that I am leaving. We've been through a lot together and I simply couldn't leave without saying goodbye to you Kelth."

*The familiar, feline-like hazel glanced from under the brim of Kelth's hood as he was leaning against a wall outside the Bottle & Jug*


Aye...word travels swiftly...an' aye...we did go throough quite some *He nodded, pausing a moment*


*He cleared his throat*

'ad 'noough o' this place, mhm?

*Eve looks down to her feet a moment then looks back up to Kelth. She always liked the fact that Kelth was taller than her. Not many were taller than her and she enjoyed having to look up.*

"Truth be told you are at the main source for my reasoning's to leave Kelth. I just can be around you right now, it hurts me to much."

*She makes another quick glance to the ground then looking directly into Kelth's eyes.*

"You are right, we never actually said we were exclusive. I always felt it was assumed though. My mistake I suppose. When I found out you had been with another woman though, it hurt me a lot more than I let on. You know how my first relationship ended, with Garren I mean. When I did go back I found out he had married another. It tore me up when I thought he was dead but even more so when I discovered that he had been dating both of us. After everything we had been through, a part of me wished then that I was back under the blood bond. I went back to that place in my mind, I'm still there I think but I am more clear headed now than I was."

*Eve moves in to hug him and give Kelth a chance to respond.*

See...guv....ferst off...I'd like tae knoow wha' I am 'ccused o' an' by whom an' wha'...

An' c'rrect, we ne'er made a pact. As I r'call, ye mentioned ye'd nae mind bein' coourted by me, aye?

Tha' I did b'fer I vanished fer a while. Tha wha' an' hoow 'boout me vanishin' still is nae clear tae ye, is it?

Ye got nae clue wha' I am goin' throough. Nor is it relevant...

I'll nae lie, thar -is- a woman tha' 'as caught me fancy...an' offered me a trial I 'ccepted. But tha's nae quite wha' I am bein' 'ccused fer 'ere, is it?


*Kelth welcomed her into a hug, without much hesitation*

As fer me bein' tha main soource...yer stronger than tha'. Yer honestly tellin' me tha' yer usin' me as a coat'anger fer bailin' on 'em kids?

"I did ask you what happened if you recall, you gave me a fairly vague answer. I didn't push however, I was allowing you to come to me with it. As for those kids, Wren is back now which means he can take over for me. Don't you understand that you are the reason I even stayed here in Sigil? As for what you are being accused of, I think it's fairly obvious that I am talking about you sleeping with that woman, Nero told me about it. It hurt Kelth, but I'm not going to leave here on that note. As for being stronger than that, we know that's not true. Maybe once, but I'm tired of being strong all the time. Sigil is killing my spirit, I can't keep staying in a place were the good I do simply doesn't matter."

*Eve finally pulls away from the hug looking at Kelth.*

*Eve takes a couple of steps away from Kelth before speaking again.*

"I want to leave on a positive note with you, I don't want to fight, I just want to remember us as we were. I'm sorry if what you went through was traumatic. I'm sorry that you got hurt. I'm sorry I don't understand, but even if I did, it wouldn't change anything. I'm still going to be your friend, even though it hurts, I always will be. I hope you'll come visit."

*Eve give Kelth a final kiss on the cheek before she turns around and walks away. She continues walking no matter what Kelth might say. She looks back only once then magically fades away.*
