She ground the parts down, distilled and used the alembric, reduced further the larger essences under his guidance and reminder, learning of which to sell, which to keep for best profit. An offer of his gathering of power essence she refused. She would take his gold for bribing and leveraging Lervak to partnership, she would not take his gold for her special project, a special gift.

On that, she was adamant.

How long she had, she did not know, perhaps aligning with the changes she felt upon her, perhaps not. Whether successful it would be was uncertain. All she knew was....she wanted to try.

She would meet with him again soon to find out progress.

A tap on Danielle's bedroom door. A rustle of paper and Lyra would enter unbidden anyway after peering round the door.

She expected the fey'ri, her Sovana to be abed. If she were sleeping still, Lyra would this time shake her shoulder to waken the girl, thrusting her tracing image of the dracophoenix under her nose to show its readiness, clicking tongue in her mute 'chatter' and gesturing for her sister to rise. Lyra would chuck one of her silky wraps across her form and gently shove her again, then a tug upon her ankle, a light pinch-pull on her toe as lyra began to retreat from bed and room, grinning slyly as the fey'ri would 'come-to'.

Leaving the door partially open, Danielle would hear distinct, purposeful and noisy clatter outside as Lyra stood by her workbench and rearranged things. Ensuring bottles chinked loudly, books dropped to the floor with a hefty wallop. Lyra's intention to make Danielle waken more quickly, get up and come out for her to make start upon the tattoo.

Darremar was likely about and up himself, not one to Reverie much and Lyra would grin and wink to him as she prepared her tools and instruments, inks and grease for the fey'ri's tattoo-day. This one was intricate, to be carefully positioned, a large image and to be spread across much of her Sovana's beautiful female body. Lyra was fresh and ready to begin the challenge of this fantastical winged pattern. She only needed her sister in position and less comatose from slumber to get on with it.

He would aid Lyra in making preparations for the tattooing. His own contribution would be a strong tea-like substance that's odor was bound to carry to their Sovana's nostrils even in slumber. He would mildly sweeten said beverage as it was potently bitter as it was brewed plain and black. He would prepare a light breakfast for her of her favorite fluffy buttered potatoes.

In the meantime, whilst he awaited Danielle, he would converse with Lyra as he awaited within the main foyer. The little bob-tailed kitten would provide some distraction until fed her daily breakfast of fresh fish, to which she would purr happily and snarf said treat down.

wrote:The elf would pad out from her quarters, ungracious and sleepy as per usual upon coming out of her slumber unexpectedly. She'd blink a few times to collect the scene, only to perk up slightly at the warm aroma of buttery potatoes not too far away, sort of meandering over by senseless hunger alone.. only barely missing the two elves with their prepared table.

"So the time has come for me to finally get my wings again? Mnn, very well, I have no business to tend to today."

The sleepy elf would have a rather luxurious breakfast on the other two's behalf, savoring the creamy treat, before settling against the presented table with something of a lazy sprawl on her belly. With a lazy reach, she'd pluck away the top of her shirt nonchalantly, pressing her chest out to the table's top, leaving her back exposed for the two to see. Her arms would cross beneath her, acting as a head rest in which she'd lazily nuzzle into, letting her eyes close again, her tail easing along the back of her leg relaxedly, almost as if prepared for another session of napping.

With her arms crossed that way though, the two would notice that rather unique muscular pattern of her shoulders, flexing strong as if to lift something of broad nature, linking to a pair of odd knots where wings used to flutter during younger days.

Lyra smirks and winks to the fey'ri, teasing her by holding up one of the piercing needles, squeezing the bulb for her to see a globule of the ink form and drip. She allows the girl to read from her lips This won't hurt a bit a blatant lie but after the small tease, lyra lays down the instrument preparing that blueish herbal drink that would help numb any pain, she leaves it to the side so that Danielle can choose herself whether to trust her and drink it or decide to bear the sharp pain to delicate flesh that her tattooing can produce.

Lyra lays the tracing pattern of the dracophoenix across Danielle's back, lining up the design so that her original small mark became the 'eye' of the larger pattern to the body.

With ink colours and needles prepared, the tub of grease, cloth to mop and bandage readied. Lyra begins by making her first pierce of fey'ri skin, at a point upon the boney shoulder blade.

*prick, squeeze, dab* she slowly continues for the next couple of hours upon the outline of the tattoo, attentive to any concern of discomfort her Sovana might show upon which, Lyra would pause, click her tongue, soothe the flesh with soft touch and grease before continuing at the next encouragement of the girl.

The design is large, it would take many hours to complete that day.

wrote:The woman would of trusted the other elf with her life if it came to such, and as much, the blue concoction would be sipped on casually, nursing it slow at first, until the effects were felt. More liberal gulps would soon follow, as the woman would fall into a dreamy trance from the prick and press, wincing at times, where giggling upon others, as the numbing sensation would almost seem to 'tickle' the flesh. If anything was was persistent, there'd be a sort of proud, nearly smug smile upon her lips, only to be hidden as she'd nuzzle back into her forearm to relax over the table.

"Keep that up and I just might call for your work more often." The woman would almost purr from such delicate attentions. That tail would swish loftily in the midst of the work, while lashing to the side when a certain prick would catch her attention.

Dab, prick, and etch, the picture would come to shape, a life of its own upon the blank scroll that was the woman's back.
***
The motif was slowly formed over the fey'ri's back arm and shoulder. Minimal colour was used, mostly only to accentuate the shadow and shading. The complexity was in the size and detailed swirls across the trickier portions of the beautiful body, that of the blade and spine where bone lay closer to surface of the skin.

Sovana not supposed to enjoy the process only to be pleased with the result after moving lip for her to read, Lyra bat gently with back of hand the swishing tail that got in the way abit with her work to the small of the back.

Finally, after many hours toil, the design was completed and Lyra covered Danielle's swollen flesh with salve and bandage Sovana not to remove for at least one day, two better she mouthed with insistence to the girl.

Once bandages were removed, when the swelling had died, Lyra would take up a large mirror to position to another one, instructing the girl to stand 'just so' and show to her Sovana the new tattoo, grinning shyly hopeful of pleasing the fey'ri.

***
The flesh was still tender. Lyra could see how the fey'ri held herself a little stiffly when they met in the market place. That would soon pass.

As Lyra quietly moved lip to state Lyra wish to talk so her Sovana brightly talked about 'something to give to Lyra' and the fey'ri handed over to her a beautiful gift.....that of a flute of the finest quality, bearing enchants that Lyra assumed Danielle had somehow managed to infuse into the silver. However it had been done, Lyra was exceedingly happy upon receiving that instrument, hugging it to her chest to add to her small but growing collection.

Lyra retreated from discussing her concerns, buoyed up with giving of the flute and also when her Sovana's lover joined them. She left the pair of tails to their business, reminded now also to consider the location to complete the Red-Tail's tattoo.

It was on the tip of her tongue, yet still she hesitated. She had not moment with her Sovana to confide her latest and there was Isonade sitting with Darremar...mayhaps.... Taking plunge she hopped deftly over the low wall to join them, making the usual reserved greetings to the drowess after those to her mate.

Oath first...see her cave...be sure

The Tall-Tovari had offered to show her the drowess' cave dwelling before, the home they shared...Lyra was more cautious...wanting to be shown it first by its original owner, she who had made the secretive rock entrance that prevented Lyra from getting inside. Upon her request Isonade agreed to now show her the abode and agreed to take the vow Lyra needed to hear.

The three traversed the market, crossed through the Lady's Ward and opened portal leading to Karasuthra.

At the base of the rocky hillock they paused and solemnly, offering her black bow with gesture for the drowess to place her hand upon it, Lyra, in her silent manner, asked for the promised oath. Isonade could sense the deathly magic and focus to that black bow which could hurt either of the elves present if turned against them...in Shevarash's name Lyra thought wryly to herself as she listened to the drowess' response to swear upon before her loved ones present and elsewhere that she bore no allegiance, loyalty or love for the spider queen of Lloth.

'I, Isonade, formerly of House Diamryllzarveth, do swear before all my loved ones, both present and not, that I hold no allegiance, belief, or love for Lloth and her servants. Should they attempt to harm any of said loved ones, I also swear to hunt them to the ends of the earth, and send them to thier Queen's side, should it be warranted.'

Darremar's hand to her shoulder was supportive, a comfort when, after those words, Lyra, upon quizzing Isonade of her age out of the blue, finding her but a few years younger that herself, greeted her anew as her Sovani. The fact that Lyra was the elder, if only by a handful of years, brought a sly pleased grin to her lips.

Tolerance had turned to acceptance. Another 'rule' reformed. But for the colour of her skin, Isonade could have been her sister.

Now....she was.

****

Lyra is blue she grinned upon receiving her colour key of light that would enable her to enter the cave Deeper and blue...it seemed fitting some how, still her favourite, despite the greenleaf she wore in memory of her father.

She followed the two, looking and studying all to see, noting with keen interest the faerie fire, the stone markings, scowling at the spider ones only to be told one can still appreciate the creature and yet not support the dark queen who tainted them with her name. Lyra still wrinkled nose and doubted she would ever so appreciate their qualities other than to pull from them their poison.

Tea of chamomile and jasmine, sat upon deep white fur of wolf pelt, a hand to the sumptuous material, another to her cup, Lyra could hear a clicking and clacking noise..'Lillith' being busy with loom...she was told and found out that her new Sovani owned and had raised from egg, one of the spider queen's own special spiders....Lyra groan inwardly as it seemed the combination of jasmine, spider talk and bad memory turned her stomach and she left the pair swiftly, scrabbling out of the cave, the runes glowing blue now to allow her to exit, managing to make it half way to the portal before she doubled up and vented.

She looked back at the three elves, taking small light backward steps as she quit the market towards the house, her steps slow, reluctant but the tiredness lay heavy upon her and reverie was necessary else she would collapse where she stood and that would not do. Only her Tall-Tovari was missing from their number and he would not be far away.

The smiles and warm tones of the drowess' voice, the cosy embrace of fey'ri, the calm wisdom and comforting hand of her Lai'Ooran mate and when present, the strong presence of the enormous and fierce woodelf.....

Never had she imagined she would have family again. Never would she have imagined family could be made of these diverse elves. It was so very new yet she was slowly realising the worth of it....such as Darremar had realised all along and tried to encourage.

A gift of another magical bag from her new Sovani she accepted for it was sorely needed but Lyra ensured she left the girl with a few of the things she had found in exchange to be used and disintegrated by that powerful wand she carried. Darremar again asked her to take what she wanted from his collection to sell along with her items. Now she had another holding bag, she could have carried them...but once more, she stubbornly refused to take any, yet the items were powerful, valuable and likely would be desired by many an adventurer. The gold upon their sale she would have returned to him anyway....'Mayhaps later?'...Mayhaps. She would earn the jink she needed herself, to use 'his' gold in attempting 'this' gift went against her principles.

There was something about her Sovana that encouraged Lyra to be more open in showing her affections. That 'other' side of her mixed race perhaps influencing and rubbing off on her. The hip bumps, the casual embrace, the nonsensical nuzzles to belly...all strange yet brought grin to her lips as she also got used to those and occasionally returned them. She had not seen the fey'ri in a few days, their times of rising and retiring varied so....not that her Sovana was....what was the term the harlots would use? 'A dirty stop out'. Lyra smirked knowing that Danielle kept hours later in the afterpeak than she herself could manage, particularly now, often after imbibing a number of Sigil's strong beverages and filling her belly with favourite foods. With so much on her mind...Lyra realised she missed those little touches and having the ear of her elder sister...yearned for her company...and for some things, some she still found awkward to speak of with her quiet lover, the Moon-Father,.....only a sister would do.

With wry grin and last look back, Lyra finally turned and made her way softly across the cobbles towards their home....seeing as all were in the bazaar, she would manage a quick and secret tease and play with the kitten all to herself before taking her reverie.

A sketch made by her Tall-Tovari of herself and her mate got her thinking, planning, plotting. The sketch was made of charcoal, fairly detailed capturing their weapons, expressions and clothing accurately. She studied it critically and came to idea. Would her Tovari be interested in learning how to put image to skin? There was new apprentice potential in that one....Lyra, seeking idea for potential business opportunity and growth, with Darremar already able to copy and tattoo if needed, one more skilled in the artistry of the designs might enable more. That, and when Isonade talked of her skin being too dark to render normal tattoo image to it, Lyra informed there was a way using special inks imbued with essence of light. How that was done, Lyra did not know nor have the skill...something Isonade herself as enchanter might have better knowledge. An idea was forming...a family concern....she began to formulate a plan. Lervak seemed to be taking his time....too long....back up plans were always good to have anyway.

When Danielle arrived, the opportunity was there to finally allay their concerns as to her 'illness' though as was her want, Lyra slipped about the subject a bit telling only of sickness from snails and cravings for such. It was left to Darremar to speak plain and inform them of their news, now an almost certainty. Aunts her Sovanae would become in what was thought to be a year of grace...time still lyra thought to complete some of those goals before her slim frame became too fat and her grace lost...Stud her Sovana called him teasingly clapping hand to the robed elf's shoulder, causing some mirth to the other elves.

But soon after the hugs and grinning embraces, Lyra spotted familiar face thought lost and dead, victim of the cult who had once tried to curse her and claim her for one of their own. A quiet word and look, secret language and it was clear he barely recognised her back...she had changed, not that much but he should know her. He didn't.

Memory has been taken, they got to him her lips moved rapidly towards her lover later as they 'discussed' the presence of her old mentor back in Sigil.

'Or maybe a ruse?' he returned.

She frowned as image of the Bronze-Witch formed to her mind, a message seeking her out. Lyra knew the Witch had seen the man then also. But tiredness claimed her easily, after the mornings illness and she could not, even if she had wanted, return to the market and find out more of what had happened. She fell to Reverie in her lover's arms, the good wishes and feelings of her family and plans foremost to her mind, only faint concern at the fate that had brought Poison-Dagger back to her life again.

Her Sovana had no such faith...her faith was in herself and her family...of Lyra's sworn enemy her belief was that lenience could be granted especially in a place where friends came few. As for Lyra's concern that to leave the service of Shevarash would be difficult, though Danielle's thoughts were voiced via another medium, the fey'ri moved her lips not, she was told 'I think if there is any place to abandon old ideas in favor of new...this is the place for it, mi'dear. Those Lords above cannot claim you here.'

Lyra made a very quiet rumble to her throat, rather like the sound of a kitten purr, when Danielle caressed her long locks as they lay to the rumpled sheets of the fey'ri's large bed, cuddling. She buried herself again into Dani's bosom and warm embrace, contented at this sisterly mothering Lyra will give some thought to some of her tasks her lips moved silently.

The next day Lyra received from her lover the gift of his old cloak. It bore the red symbols of Nycti but the style went not with her greenleaf. She wore it the once when first given, then tucked it away...for now.

As Lyra made ready to begin the tattoo of her Sovana's lover, she studied the sketches that her Tall-Tovari had left her with. They were truly detailed and intricate and the patterns rather large. Much preparation would be needed, firstly to bring sketch to tracing so that she could apply the pattern to skin. One for her Sovani, one for Tovari, a matching pair, large and oppositely aligned to the body, different colours for eyes and some variation in forms. She needed special inks, magically imbued with colours of light for the one to stand out on Isonade's dark skin...she left the dark elf with the problem of organising the special ink...yet wanted demonstration and to learn how she did this for her own benefit.

This was going to take a while. Yet the complexity of the two designs and location to body, the need for the magical ink...all brought Lyra's artistic and inspiration juices to the fore. She grinned and began to start on copying sketch to tracing as she waited for Saiph to arrive.

Thought of the fees for the one or other tattoo far from her mind for a change. She had just reached her target for her own special project, would spend not a stinger or a bronze on anything, spend frugally until that was settled and underway...she had not heard from the man in a while...she should pay him visit in the hive again.

She was miffed..annoyed. Lyra still had scowl to her face thinking of her Tall-Tovari's complete lack of sensibility in discussing of their escapades to Carceri... without her...saying she had missed nothing then recounting all the excitement and danger of that particular hunt.

Never tell lyra she misses nothing when she has hardly seen for self...do not dismiss as nothing...Lyra like exciting hunt...even if means running with that...orc brute

She poked her Tovari sharply in the ribs with those silent words then quit the foursome as the orc chief and others arrived to obtain enchanting work from her Sovani...the place had become too crowded for her in that mood to remain. She would peruse the stalls at another quieter time to check upon that silver loop she admired.

Isonade's kinder words only partially mollified her and her mood, as did Darremar's later attempt prior to her taking reverie. She was having a lot of moods lately and the many changes about and all she tried to get done oft made that mood all the heavier. It was a wonder they put up with her.

He was working at the table upon some wand craft when she entered laden with yet more food, breads and fruits, more carcerian snails in smaller bag to the bottom of the cloth sack and he bid her sit, unburden, upon which they began to converse about wands and staves. She gave him dry look asking of the staff of fire she had found to her things, odd he had managed to get by her to sneak one in there but he had his own methods of stealth and verily she was never on guard about him so it could be easily done. And so began a lesson in stave magic as she sat eating the fruit, she watched and learned then had a go.

She was shown how to recharge, cautioned on not letting the charge too low or to overapply and was then left to see if her own simple magic ability enabled such also, using one of her lover's staves to practice on. She grinned noting that her attempt was successful yet still could not see great benefit to having the heavier and more cumbersome staff to hand and at the ready instead of wand. She was no mage. Yet, after discussion she could see some advantage, shrugged and as the fire staff was a spare one, agreed to keep it, being told that one never knew when myriad of fire magic might come in handy. Tired though she was, she did her best to absorb all his teachings, back to being student to his careful mentorship once more.

((ooc Big thankyou for this RP, tired though I was, this was a first for me to see how recharging works and was good to do it in IC RP form. Thanks for taking the time Light and for putting up with an overly tired Pasha to take it slow. Oddly, despite having one arcane character, I've never done this before as my pixie is just too weeeee to use staffs. I like doing new things in IC RP ways, thanks for your patience and prompting!))
