All very good ideas, would love if those were implemented. Dunno if a 'prime' wouldn't spoil the Planescape feeling a bit *shrugs*.
And, while we have a lot of the Outer Planes in the game a couple Inner Planes would be nice, afaik we only have the Paraelemental Plane of Ice as of now, Plane of Earth being in the works iirc. Maybe add the Positive and Negative Energy Plane (easy elemental damage factors), or some quasi-plane like ash, ooze or silt ?

There will be no prime areas on SCoD, although we have plans/ideas to let dms run off-server events on their own computers that can include prime world areas

we won't make demiplane of shadows since it makes gray waste seem less unique... also there is no shadow-sigil or shadow-beastlands, so that wouldn't happen anyways...

To elaborate on this, I intend an event which will include a foray to the Prime Material Plane sometime in the near future. It will go to the west coast of Calimshan and will be hosted on another server.

There are still a few details to work out (such as how to move everyone's .bics), and I do not think that it will happen before November. There are a few things to wrap up with Abby and Nastasia before than can happen, however.

Doubt we'll do this anytime soon, but a good suggestion for you... keep your gems, they are weightless and ties up your gold until such time as you need it...

The world of Avlis (NWN1) has a RPotM (Role Player of the Month) contest once a month (obviously) on their forums. Once a month people nominate players who they think have done an outstanding job roleplaying their character. everyone takes a vote by a certain time, and whoever wins gets a large chunk of XP for a reward (or maybe a special one-of-a-kind item or something?).

Might be fun here, what with all the great RPers and all.

I think that sort of thing opens up way too many problems with buddies nominating buddies and such. We already have an automatic system that gives people extra RP XP and that does not have problems with causing rifts between players.

Yeah, I'm not much fan of placing good rp'ers on pedestals... the good rp'ers generally know who they are, and the players who want to be on a pedestal is usually not the ones we would want to reward, so it would mostly turn into some players trying to "win" a contest where there should be no winners.

RP should be its own reward, and the small xp rewards we give from it is just our way of trying to even things out between rp'ers and grinders...
