*Isendis stands and says* I object to striking Agranwen's testimony on grounds of the prosecution changing mid-case, and not being given adequate time to get together the case. Her testimony has weight, and should not be removed.

*audibly chuckles*

*leans in close to Hildmor and whispers ((yet not quiet enough to not be heard))*

An objection to the judges official ruling from the gallery? Amusing and highly foolish. Not a wise idea to insult and anger the judge all in one swoop.

The gauth turns the majority of its eye-stalks to face Charles

"Does the defense have any further witnesses or exhibits to present to the court? If so, proceed"

Charles says: "No need. What more needs to be said? We believe we have presented enough evidence within the first 30 minutes of this court's opening. Please, there are others needing the courtroom for trials, let's not keep them waiting"

Your honour what we have seen during this trial, on behalf of the prosecutions case, was nothing but a comedy of errors. If it wasnÂ’t meant to be so serious I imagine it would make for a great play for the bards in the market.

Right from the beginning it was painfully obvious that the prosecution had nothing. The original prosecutor was removed because he wasnÂ’t interested in obeying the courts rulings, thus showing the malicious intent behind the original charges and the lengths the Harmonium would go to hang the defendant out to dry.

A second Harmonium officer, set as a possible replacement was also deniedÂ… one can only guess the reason was he was unfitÂ… another possible case of malicious prosecution. Finally a third prosecutor is chosen. Already, before counting any evidence or testimonyÂ… my clients rights had been violated repeatedly.

We had outside members of the Fraternity and the Harmonium interrupt the case repeatedly, overruling the courts, overruling the judge, forcing rule reversals and forcing flip flopping of decided motions. AloneÂ… a grave violation of my clients rights.

We saw spectators from the Gallery interrupting the courtÂ… passing notes to the bailiff, shouting out objections, making a mockery of the courts authority. Again a violation of rights.

We heard the testimony of McSticklyÂ… testimony bought and paid for by the very prosecutor forced from the case. Testimony that concluded that my client did not bribe the prosecution or witnessÂ… testimony that concluded the defendant was a victim of extortion by the very witnesses the prosecution used to try to convict! Forced to bow to the pressure of those who would hang him out to dry before the courts they forced him intoÂ… he would have to submit to their demands for payment in exchange for mercy. An unjust position to be forced into by a member of the very court that is supposed to uphold law!

Then we heard the testimony of IsendisÂ… if you could call it testimony. Nothing but a few insults tossed back and forth and counted as threats. Insults heard in most playgrounds yet too strong for the elf to bear. While I agree his delicate ego may have been bruisedÂ… it certainly wasnÂ’t threatened. A complete waste of the courts time.

We saw the prosecution try again and again to insert witness or evidence without the courts permissionÂ… as if they simply ran blindÂ… completely unaware of the proper protocols or aware of the courts authority.

Not once did we see anything concrete be placed forth by the prosecution. Not once did they make any part of their case. All we saw was the prosecution try every single distractive ploy in the book to cloud the court enough to bring a guilty charge in an attempt to harm a man the Cratten Erroc has a dislike for.

All this simply to harm someone he hates. A mere assault by the legal system he claims to uphold in an attempt to harm for personal reasons.

They showed no proof of bribery of witness, no proof of threat and no proof of blackmail.

Nothing.

Your HonourÂ… the trial was based on the prosecutions case and the prosecution failed to prove anything they intended. They wasted the peopleÂ’s time, they wasted the defenceÂ’s time and most importantlyÂ… they wasted your time.

The court must make an example of the prosecutions pitiful antics and move to acquit the defendant. The court must move to drop all charges in an effort to restore not only the proper level of justiceÂ… but to restore the peopleÂ’s confidence in the court to maintain a level of professionalism weÂ’ve come to expect.

"Must Charles? Must? Were you not the one who was declaiming those who presumed to tell the court what it should do?"

Victor looks towards Plargh

"We await your verdict"

The gauth judge, after due deliberation, slams the gavel and calls the court to order

"All present will remain seated and silent while I present the court's ruling.

The court was asked to rule on the following charges leveled by the prosecution against the defendant, Mr. Hildmor d'Kidris:

- Bribing officials
- Bribing court witnesses
- Blackmailing and threatening citizen Isendis Sunfire
- Blackmailing official Mover One Cratten Erroc

On the charge of Bribing Court Officials, the court finds the defendant guilty. The testimony of Mr. McStickley, however dubious, was logically strengthened by his actions during the previous trial (as there is no evidence to prove that he was insane at that time). If Mr. McStickley truly set out to extort Mr. d'Kidris as opposed to the defendant bribing McStickley, the court is confident that the defendant, being a former lawyer, would have brought the matter to the court. Instead, the issue was not brought before the court and McStickley had a most timely descent into insanity.

On the charge of Bribing Court Witnesses, the court finds the defendant not guilty. The testimony of Khazeet was never presented to the court, and therefore the court was not presented with any evidence to support this charge.

On the charge of Blackmailing and Threatening citizen Isendis Sunfire the court finds the defendant not guilty. Firstly, the threats that were made in the sensory stone presented do not qualify as criminally serious threats, and secondly the sensory stone failed to include any sort of tangible context to the conversation. The threats might have been made due to a usury deal gone awry, as the defendant is a known money-lender, or they may have been connected to the prior trial. There is no content given in the stone to confirm that it was not being taken out of context for the prosecution's purposes.

On the charge of Blackmailing official Mover One Cratten, the court finds the defendant not guilty, on grounds that no evidence was presented to the court on this matter."

The gauth looks toward Hildmor

"Your sentence will be decided by a special judicial committee. Until such a time when a decision has been made, you are to be confined to Sigil and to be followed at all times by a member of the Harmonium. Any attempt made to leave Sigil will result in your immediate arrest.

This court is hereby adjourned"

The gavel slams, and Judge Plargh turns and floats away without another word

Hildmor stands and offers the judge a deep nod before leaving together with Charles.
