Rhistel watches as the other moves away, and still a little confused turns again toward the Officers.
"...apologies. As I was saying... I'd need to see Measure Thorn if possible..."

Hograth's requests is received with an almost bewildered stare by the other one.
"Records, Measure?" he asks, again, the disbelief clear in his tone. "Is it really so important who the rented warehouse belongs to? I am talking about looking for clues about her disappearance. In there. Paperwork is the only thing I can legally do, if I wanted to waste time browsing through records I wouldn't have come here. I will not find her in a record, nor will your patrols find her by simply walking the streets!" He concludes, maybe with little too intensity. Nonetheless, he accepts the documents and after taking some parchments from his bag, he stands up and starts writing down something himself.
"And no, I have no clue why she has been..." he continues, before stopping abruptly as he seems to finally realize something.
"Takers take, and so I do."
"That little piece of shit..." He hisses between his teeth, while the ink pools from the quill on the parchment he forgot to be writing on.

"Well, Factor, we are not a bunch of Vigilantes. What we do we do according to Sigil's law and..." he taps his faction badge. ".. a man of my rank has to make sure that what we do will also lead to evidence that holds at the courts."
He lowers his voice, his words spoken calmly and not without compassion:
"I am not new at this, I know well what I do and I know why I do it. I see you are agitated so let me explain:
Men on the streets, looking for her, put pressure on the one who holds her. He cannot longer move her freely through the streets and in case she is found, styxed and dirty, she will be brought here and not dumped in the Hive as another drug addict.
The records I requested will be necessary to build a case at the courts. If we do not do this we will arrest someone and a lawyer will free him again.
That said- I also prepared warrants to search the warehouse you mentioned. I will do so immediately, you are free to accompany me- if you can show me you are not emotionally compromised and will not do anything... stupid.
Rushing into a situation without thinking never yields good results, Factor."
He sighs again, looks at the report he had read when the Taker entered.
"It only messes things up. Speaking of messy things..... what little piece of shit are you talking about?"
He gets up already, takes his cloak and swordbelt.

He enforces his grip on the quill for a moment as he listens to Hograth's words: it is clear he knows the other is right, even if unwilling to openly admit it.
As he finally seems to force himself to calm down again, he lowers his gaze on the desk, noticing the ink blob on the paper.
With an uncaring gesture, he grabs for the border of his cloak and uses it to clean before completing what he was writing, adding a simple Fated seal under it.
He then hands the document to Hograth.
"I don't want to find her styxed and dirty, Measure." He replies looking at him, a weird mix of determination and resignation in his eyes.
"Give this to your officers, at the Hall they will be provided with what you requested.
And no. I am not emotionally compromised.... if I really were, I wouldn't be here.
I can't afford to be compromised now."
Then as Hograth moves to leave his desk and take his garment, he turns around and places himself next to the door, waiting for him to be ready with his gaze on the floor, barely raising it only at the Measure's final question, at which he reacts with a slight grimace.
"The Cambion. He is... inappropriately interested in her.
I presume you understand what I mean." He replies finally in a grim tone.

"The one you told me about? Hrm."
He takes the stack of documents Rhistel and he have prepared, locks up the rest in a drawer before opening the door for both of them.
"No offence but he risks a lot for this woman... invested a lot of ressources, too. So is it something personal or is it something political? A mix perhaps? Or is the whole festhall affair just a distraction? What do you think?
Ah... and another thing: Noone has contacted you so far with any demands, yes?"
Once outside he lets the other man think while he adresses a guard nearby. "Send someone to get me the following from the Hall of Records."
He gives the man the document Rhistle prepared. "Also... cancel all leave for Notary Gamsby and his squad. I want Gamsby in my office as soon as I return.
Last but not least I need two squads to accompany me. They shall meet me in front of the Barracks in Five."
The commands given he turns to the half drow again. "If your suspicions are correct and this man is involved whatever you know about him will be useful. Ah... and there are men on the streets looking for him anyway. If a patrol finds him he will be arrested."

He follows the other outside, slowly shaking his head.
"Anything relevant for your investigation, Measure, I told you already the other day... what can I add?" He says, opening slightly his arms in a frustrated gesture.
"He has always been friendly with me. Annoying, yes, and inappropriate. But friendly." he almost spits out "Merciful One, he even saved my life once! But at that time he was after that Mercykiller woman... Rozalina.
Then he found out about Neerepha, and all of sudden..."
He gets quiet again, as if noticing he was talking about stuff that probably were of no relevance to the other, and sighs.
"But as I said, I had no idea he could be involved with the League until now.
He was just... my boggart.
He followed me, from house to house."

He leads the man through the Barracks, first towards the chapels, listening to him silently.
"I am not so sure this is a Anarchist operation anymore. Your woman... is she a factioneer of some importance? If not have you considered that this man has purely personal motives, using Anarchist ressources and contacts for personal gain?
If so there might be some pressure against him from his own people as well- after all few are willing to risk their lives just for some berk to get a girl he is after."
Hograth does not tell him that the man might already have left Sigil if he is just after the Genasi- the multiverse is big and without reasons to stay in the Cage only a fool would linger.
He stops at the chapels, approaches the notary on duty there. "Thorn." He introduces himself, then goes on: "I need a cleric who is able to detect Chaos to join my troops. We will meet in front of the Barracks in Three. It is urgent."
Not waiting for a response he leads the Taker to the front gates now, hopefully to be joined by the troops he requested soon.

He sighs and shakes his head again, as he follows the other.
"No, Neerepha barely belongs to the Signers. I believe she left them to follow a sect... Really... I have no idea, Measure. The first time he showed me that Fated badge I was really sure it was just a joke." He replies in low voice. "I had known him for months, I would have known if he belonged to my Faction.
And what kind of Anarchist just shows himself like that?"
He pauses for a while, still walking behind Hograth and paying absolutely no attention to what happens around him, only to speak again later, in a pensive tone.
"That day he had been even weirder than usual, now that I think of it... it was the first time we... almost got in conflict. At that time I was sure he was the one behind the death threat left in my workshop.
It made no sense, but... well, to me he made little sense as well, afterall...
That day he and the Genasi ended up fighting, and when she mentioned him that thing.. well, he seemed surprised. He left all of sudden..." he stops and scowls, "well, not before stabbing Neerepha... and saying he was 'going to investigate'... Next thing I know, he stole a sensory stone from the Festhall."
