Calm and collected, the dark elf stared back at the mighty balor. "You said then-Justicar Monflix sentenced you to answer her call as punishment. The terms have shifted, so that makes your condition of imprisonment something that could be re-addressed. Perhaps even nullified if you provide something to my superiors. Are you interested?"

The demon peers again closer to the viewing hatch and even through the thick metal Charae can feel burning heat.
"I want freedom. I wish to destroy on my own terms. Monflix is mighty, she would be angered if I was freed. I doubt a scared little thing like you would dare to cross her."
It sneers again and one gets the impression it is used to pushing the buttons of its captors.
"Of course if you were to do so I would have no need of my new summoner. That is why you are here isn't it?"

Charae preferred devils. A devil you could deal with, literally. They were lawful and would not betray a deal struck, though they took advantage of any loopholes in the contract. Demons were chaotic. If there was one thing Charae could count on, it was to be betrayed. So all she knew she had to do was work that very betrayal into her plan.
"The summoner. It is Mauric Ashtoret, is it not? I recently caught information that he was capable of such a summoning. He may very well summon you again. Were I to secure your release, what guarantee would I have that you would turn on Mauric?"

"If I am summoned I am forced to do the bidding of my summoner. Whoever they are. I could allow you to scry me though. Allow you to track me to the location I am summoned too. It can only be somewhere in the cage, you could be there quickly."

Charae considered the demon's offer. "Only if the binding the summoner casts is perfect. A mighty being such as you must despise a tiny mortal having you at his beck and call. There might be a way to gain your freedom as well as turn on the one who would have you call him master."
The dark elf hoped her play on the demon's pride would shift it into revealing something. Summoning was a dangerous feat that required the summoner to take precautions in order to avoid the creature turning on them. She had seen a priestess in her temple days fail to properly restrain the will of a baaetzu before. It turned on her in a flash and slashed her to bloody ribbons.

"I was summoned to The Hive Ward. Summoned to busy my would be master summoned me to aid him as he buried a squad of Harmonium alive in the rubble of a building. It was glorious. I suggest you fetch someone to cast teleport as well. You will get their quicker."
