It's functional immunity against an ECL race. That's another thing to consider. A vampire
warlock has a maximum caster level of 24, ever. Even on a natural 20, that's a spell pen
check of 44. All it takes, then, for a Mage Slayer to become completely immune to said
character is to get a friendly mage to cast Energy Immunity: Acid. Drow are already bad
enough in this regard.

A-and then you can use your nifty ability to become immune to Assay Resistance.LadyLightning,Mar 29 2015 wrote: It's functional immunity against an ECL race. That's another thing to consider. A vampire

Vampire Warlock with Fiendish or Fey Heritage and Power has a CL of 25 and with 3 Spell Pins is a casterlevel 31 to Bypass SR and yes if you an ECL race then those SR pen are mandatory.
Anyways its Mage Slayer He should be able to shut down any magic User with ease. And guarentee Bigsby Forceful hand or grasping Hand scroll will be there friends for that immunity from I win Mage button* Personally I think there missing an Epic Dispell.

1) What Plaxy said, you can increase that CL... and you're playing a high ECL race, this tends to happen.LadyLightning,Mar 29 2015 wrote: It's functional immunity against an ECL race. That's another thing to consider. A vampire

2) 10d6+ Eldritch Blast bypasses SR too, and you can't become immune to magic damage. My mistake.
3) Its not meant for PvP... any Mage/Sorceror worth their salt will start with a Mordekainen to remove the SR and then cast one of their many auto-win spells anyway.

How will this class work with spellcastery classes like Gatecrasher? Will their use per day abilities still work?
