The Story of Past

She closes her eyes briefly before placing her hand at her lips. It seems as if she whistles but the sound is so high of frequency that probably not all that are around can hear it.


There you are...

She smiles as a grey wolf approaches from the entrance of the cave. She kneels before it and caresses it behind its ear.

She then stands up and the wolf remains behind her.

They can scout ahead...But I will follow close behind. We don't know what is down there. We can't just send in a bat...or even my wolf, to scout by itself. It is too dangerous and they are too precious to us. Where they go... we go. Split up if you must. I will follow the path of the water.

Her eyes move to Chakra and ultimately to Kor'Vain as if to wait what they will do.

[*Melmoth]

*Still keeping quiet Chakra would stop and speak again.*

That decision lies with Kor'vain.

*Looks to Kor'vain*

If you wish to send it ahead it would be helpful, if you do we will respect your wish and keep close to it.

"Of course, boss" he grins "my considerable powers are at your disposal. I will certainly employ my familiar to scout ahead of us...I merely opposed the very notion to send it to another tunnel. Much too risky."

Then, he turns towards the red-haired female, the hard quality gone from his purple gaze: "you'd better keep the wolf with us...we might need its senses close by..."

Good, I'll lead the way. The rest of you partner up in a two by two formation. I want our sharpest eye in the back watching our arses. Anyone checking out the other tunnel will do so without the brunt of the group. I doubt what we are looking for is there or it would no longer be here. Everyone fall in, were moving out.

[*Melmoth]

He takes a position close to the bottom, beside his companion and her wolf, so as to be protected at the heart of the group. The bat scouts slightly ahead of Chakra, who is leading the formation.

She nods.

Alright... I'll take a spot in the back.


She smiles at Kor'Vain as he takes place next to her.

Those that do follow and descend to the lower chamber come after the brief descending a mostly flat cavern with a central pond that appears to be the only deep part of the chamber, while there is a distinct current flowing to the several branching yet further descending paths, it is only a couple inch deep current and easily crossed. Large mossy batches cover major parts of this portion softing the floor and making the floor a bit less slippery. Bat screeching here and there as it flaps through the branch directions...

Talking about slippery, a few of them might have difficulty to keep their bearing initially through the descending, the cave is highly moist making the softly curved rock surface misleadingly unfrictionate. Even still, this cavern akin appears to have no real sign of anyone living, the air is slightly thicker which is easy to notice the lower they travel, but not dangerously so. On the wall nearby is a distinct quite sizable though only part of the wall filling brass wall, below it the water flow seems to be controlled, if inspected carefully it is movable gate that can move upwards or downwards to define how much of the water is let to pass.



There is sizable number of branching in the cave, each of the portions appeared to lead only further down, from none of the directions seemed to come any light, however a mild fog seemed to have been set in the lower caves along the darkness to block some of the view, no doubt set by the moist. A larger pool seemed to linger very close by, possibly a portion that had been flooded, but rest of the places seemed to remain unflooding and properly accessible, though seemingly quite slippery still.

Thus leaving even greater number of directions to choose to explore. There was very little clue other than the brass wall to show that there had been anyone in a long, long time. The silence remained eerily so. The bat returns to tell of its findings to Kor'Vain.

The bat circles low above his head for a few moments, then he nods, and turns towards Chakra:
"the branch to their left arches to two chambers, the one next to it goes very deep and it remains unexplored yet, the two others are of medium depth. Now, we-"
He stops, as the halfling seems to be very excited about the pond he stuck his head into...

She gives a bit of a flat stare at Athnos.

She then moves over to some of the mosspatches to examine them, and nods slightly to herself as she recognises the species.

When she notices the halfling running back from the pond, she turns her head towards him.

Also since bat's can not actually see, the report would be somewhat inaccurate. If you wish to have a look Falheen be my guest and catch up, otherwise we proceed.

" Actually bats see qui... ah. I have a book I can borrow you."

He stops the lenghty, educating explanation he seems to have prepared in his mind already and instead he lights his lamp after strapping his small wooden shield to his left lower arm. After checking the fit of his blade in its scabbard he adresses the group again.

" Very well then. I'll catch up with you. Aoskar watch over you. "

Turning around he proceeds to follow the other tunnel, holding his light low to not blind himself and to give him a better idea of the ground he is walking on.

[*Midnight]

As the group form up she tries to take a place in the mide. As the other halfling runs back from the lack in a state of excitment she waits expectantly to see what he has to say.
