Thist casts his last magic missle at the same monster he's been targeting.

Whichever power of magic holds sway here seems to smile upon Thist and his spell punches its way through the creatures magical defences for a third time and the bolts of force which began as an mere irritation have now become a real source of pain. The putrid green flesh is blackened bruised and burnt. It howls in pain and trying to get to Thist, the source of its agony it swings its weapon wildly at Norman who stands in its way. The axe blade connects with the priest's collar bone biting through his mail and again and once again he would feel white hot pain and the blood flow. The very act of moving though seems cause it pain though and the second axe head although it makes contact with his sides lacks the strength to pierce Norman's mail.

"Focus the attacks!" Norman says, his voice showing his pain and growing exhaustion, his magic almost spent.

He has only one healing spell left and this looks like it will be a long battle. Desperately he lashes out with his light mace, not expecting to do much more than to annoy the creature he is facing.

John takes careful aim as he fires his bow. Ben clinging to the monster's arm complicates things and the first arrow misses whilst the second strikes just under its arm causing it to hiss in pain.

Meanwhile Norman swings his mace the monster before him still pained can not lift its axe to parry the blow which connects with its skull. Norman feels a harring down his arm and then a crunch as its skull breaks. The green sinewy figure falls to the floor.

Seeing its companion fall the second monster raises its left arm holding Ben up. It hisses and plunges the sword through the hounds side and then flings the dog away. Ben lands with a whimper in a pool of his own blood as the creature rounds upon Norman.

"Bastard!" yells Thist. Having no other spells left, he casts the cantrip Daze on it.

Again Thist's spell pierces the natural resistance. However the creature is rather single mindee in its intent, and it is hard to cloud its thoughts. It turns to the group blade ready.

Both arrows slam into it striking it in the chest. It gives an inhuman shriek, is staggered but stands, its advance unfaltering

When he saw the dog's fate Norman frowned and his relief of killing the other creature faded quickly. He felt the resistance of the attacker's hide and he realizes how lucky his blow has been.

seeing that he is the next target he is raising his shield and weapon, concentrating to defend himself, trying to buy John time for another salvo or two.
