''Noranis...a noble warrior of firey soul and scale and spear. I bade her give to Isolfr, newly returned, the loyalty and respect she shows to me. My own hunt and walk after the fey turned attention away from the grove was to find him, without success. But I returned and not empty handed. For Noranis is now by my side and of the pack.''

''He walked his own path with the konigen wolf one I could not track. Shame, for I might have averted his capture or ...become captured myself. He is resourceful, she is safe and well I am told. I will see her again soon. In the space of a few hours I had met up again with two whom are important to me. Danielle too I had seen but briefly to the market. The sun warmed my face this day for seeing them.''

''The hunt is resumed''

"Deep to the Beastlands I hunted yet still I searched in vain for the hidden grove and the scent of their purity. The path did not open itself to me. I had left my beasts behind...this prey is evasive, shy..so I travelled mostly alone and did not call upon my brothers and sisters. After time, I lost track of how long, until finally I felt the urge to return to the peace and community of the grove and its resident pack and began the long trek back but at strong pace that increased as the distance decreased. First as long stride and steady lope upon two legs, as the need became more urgent, camp and hunt forgotten I grew hungry and pace turned to four foot, large paw of smilodon and feline power. But this was heavy to prolong and I reformed to the sleeker leg and rangy grace of wolf...racing hard then to reach the Brux and home."

"There is still plenty of time...I have to keep saying this to believe it...may the Shalm allow...but this night, a return spent feasting a famished frame, allowing a slow return of energies that had waned from a hard run, sating two kinds of hunger, curling amidst pelts and scent of wolf sorely missed"

"All of my hunts would continue once rested....my hunt for strong mate for the Konnigenwolf, my hunt for Ehlonna's grove and its guardians...my hunt for a master of the arcane...my hunt for the fourth and final elemental staff to communicate finally with brother, daughter, old lover and leader would begin again when I woke from the arms and side of this wolfcarl and his bonded sister."

* Isolfr opened his eyes, grinning at the sight of Sirin's wild hair as they both lay covered in hides. She was in his arms again after all that time and as he promised, the hunt would start again*

"I have reaquainted with the knight of the arcane Aeron whose apology in delay of the enchants upon my staves which he had held for a season, though unnecessary in the light of his loss of memory, was welcome. Gold, this city as in all others main trading currency, I have little of but for apology he was willing to take payment in kind and a variety of items that had crossed my path on hunts. Two rings also I acquired in fair exchange whose magics enhance my natural powers. Where once was so easily made, as natural as a simple wise thought must now I work hard at and purchase item to enhance. I find this city's burden sometimes a harsh one."

"Other changes have I noticed in my absence. I sense no sign of old pack friends. I wear his cloak and rings as mark of his loyalty still, knowing I owe in return of balance and wish again for hunt with that furred warrior Graawl. I have seen other gnoll but not yet made approach. I have however, seen other wolf and made acquaintance with one mature male later to meet his sister, Ama'lyro of Lydwin to the grove. She follows my faith yet speaks of him by other name and was drawn here by his vision but not, it seems on quest as mine..she seems to see him as moral guide, while I see him currently as...something else. While I will assess her brother carefully, as will the konnigen shewolf, I am unsure without furthering acquaintance whether our shared faith and belief in nature runs the same path. I will keep my guard until I know more."

"A heavy day of hunt in the plane of the nine hells with only my beasts was exhilerating. I also made the beginnings of exploration of new goblinoid plane and hunt of new beasts following meeting and two hunts in the Abyss with the metalled warrior, Corwyn of Heironeus. This one holds definate opinion on who he is willing to hunt with and it seems I fall in favour. Other than my dislike of the orcbloods, I find his frequent refusal to share hunt with some, amusing. How strong would he be without that armour I wonder? Yet his faith and devotion might sustain him. His desire to pause and take the time to make small effort to rid one tortured body to a cleansing fire noble yet in my view a waste of effort. The city is corrupt and diseased, how can one small effort make difference? The girl's spirit was already passed. The body just one of many littering the heaving mass of blight and decay that is Sigil. Ama'lyro had also spoken of her attempt to bring nature to the city without success. It is a waste of effort to try to plant and nuture sweet bloom or fruiting tree in habitat where only the viscious razorvine thrives."

"The waters churned and swirled as my form shaped the waves alongside my summoned companion. I played with the air about as I did once some seasons ago with a mate, refinding the shape once more, delighting in it. I turned and twisted, danced and scooped the white tips of waves of the river droplets, catching them, losing them to dry to my winds flow."

'Whooo dares toooo passs?'

"I howled at the approach hearing footfall of two and four. But I knew the sound and made laughter on the air as I barred entry blocking the shallow river crossing then spoke again to challenge a race to the pair to the watery expanse of the falls deeper to the grove's tranquility to catch up on the day and share of mind, body and aim."

"The day of heavy hunting ended in playful relaxation of air-shaping, watery swim to wash away the hunts grime and old mud markings and a slow burning touch of fire that swiftly led to a heated blaze."

Graawl of Deepclaw met Rix of Darkpaw. I watched standing between, hearing the intimidating growls and seeing the axes raised in threat. I tried to remain neutral and allow nature and their kind work the situation for themselves.

Yet my heart pulsed heavy.

Rix was the shorter, smaller but no less fierce. Graawl, my furred friend and protector, sorely missed and only just minutes before met up again after long absence. A hope, that I could unite these clans in some way, find commonality and join force and pack...neither clan followed the orcs as the clan Shadowfur of undersigil did, the clan Graawl had rejected as having dishonour. There was hope.

I invited Rix to join and gave the honour of leading a hunt to his chosen plane. Rix stood down. Graawl, even though time had past, remained loyal to my decision, allowed it and stood down as well.

This bode better.

The hunt continued.
