With the sudden growth of Razorvine despite measures to remove it, the dark elf tasked her Namers to continue to keep the bazaar cleared of it as best as possible.

After the chain gang was finished, Charae went to the Harmonium barracks with a proposal.

The Harmonium signs change slightly, the term ass hat being removed and replaced with a more politically correct, but to the point word.

//OOC ADDENDUM. It has just become aware through my own observance that i have made a grevious error in my posts. The above posts rever to "suspected indeps" being detained and questioned, this is not correct, i had a dislexic moment apparently and i caused problems with the indeps unintentionally when i MEANT to put "suspected anarcists/Xaocitects".

I applogise for the slip of the keyboard.

meanwhile, fated collectors have begun walking the streets of sigil for the programmed 'vines, vines' removal, and prisoners usage taxation. needless to say it bears further grudge to the spirit of the citizens and merchants, and their pockets

////the above post does not mention indeps specifically, though it is, at least in its first part, a response to harmonium signs being covered (and these placed in response to indep provokatory signs) upon initiative of charles, about whom i'd ask if he's an indep or not. so what?
still of course make sense that xaos and anarchs would be detained when caught doing unharmonic stuff///

///CharlesÂ’ people made an effort to cover them (and for those close by to tell the Harmonium it was him) instead of removing or destroying them. This was/is an effort to maintain the peace by reducing tensions in the Market. He fully expected the Harmonium to approach him about it but they chose not to.

Charles (is most definitely an Indep and is well known as one) is doing what he can to calm the market and still would extend an invitation (via other market workers) for the Harmonium to sit and talk with himÂ… like adultsÂ… not occupiers.

thus far, clearing razorvines by cutting their branches and undigging their roots, with great expense of energies and healt, seems only to give a daily reprieve to the zones lastly cleared. in the same moments, 'vines would be surely growing in other places, and , as soon as each antipeak passes, they'd be probably be growing anew in places previously cleared of the grown vines or nearby them.
rumors, or impressions, are their growth accelerated, and that someone is behind it. but rumors are still just rumors. sure various people had been stopped for being caught meddling with razorvines and probably complicating the matter, but none seems to be at the origin of it or anyway be able to explain the original outburst up to now. what is sure though is that the 'vines increased their presence

After a conversation in the bazaar, Verdant Waves begins to research. His first "stop" is to speak with the dabus usually found about the bazaar, and see what knowledge it has to offer, figuring the dabus would be the most familiar with the nature and workings of razorvine. He knows full well he will only get whatever answers the dabus chooses to provide, especially having no desire to antagonize such a being.

He soon discovers the problems inherent in the nature of the answers the dabus provides. If they are answers at all. He politely thanks the dabus and takes his leave.

His questions remain: one, how far down does the vine send its roots, two, can the plant grow back from just those roots, three, how does the plant reproduce?

With the dabus' answers proving inconclusive, Verdant moves on to plan B, the Hall of Records where he looks up what books might be found on the subject of the plant.

Verdant has a few theories, and is equally interested in disproving them as he is confirming them.

Verdant, with a few observations of a recent reoccurence of the razorvine, decides to check undersigil for signs of razorvine.

At first, he finds a few patches of razorvine on the ceiling. A bit here, a bit there. But after some searching and a bit of luck, he notices vines leading into the murky waters.

Several spells and a summoning later, he finds that the walls of the water-canals are coated in razorvine several feet thick. Razorvine apparently enjoys the murk and is growing quite handily there...and from there perhaps upward to the city above. Now he is faced with a new problem: how to deal with the razorvine that is deep underwater and in the Undersigil to boot?

Meeting Caterina in passing, he gets the idea that either a construct or an undead being could safely navigate the murk and the razorvine below.

Caterina decides to continue on the errand she was running at the time, and Verdant decides to retreat and plan strategies for how to breathe underwater, performing a few tests in somewhat safer settings.
