" Actually bats see qui... ah. I have a book I can borrow you."

He stops the lenghty, educating explanation he seems to have prepared in his mind already and instead he lights his lamp after strapping his small wooden shield to his left lower arm. After checking the fit of his blade in its scabbard he adresses the group again.

" Very well then. I'll catch up with you. Aoskar watch over you. "

Turning around he proceeds to follow the other tunnel, holding his light low to not blind himself and to give him a better idea of the ground he is walking on.

So Falheen parts from the group to a side path, and it actually is quite quickly evident beyond the curve that this is where perhaps previous explorers have camped their entourage. Though alas through the time and humidity most of the wooden structure has caught mold, collapsed and crumpled to near unusable state. All of this is on even level with the entrance chamber.

The opening chamber contains crates and within them comes quite vegetable plant growth, possibly previous food supplies gone bad and then become nature, at least there was molded portions that hint toward such direction.



The smaller side chambers contained furniture as well, beds, tables, chairs, a chest, some old books and supplies, alas most of them also ruined, there was still some usable material among this side camp for him to scavenge or study...

Falheen proceeds carefully- drawing his sword, using it to probe the moldy remains, searching the whole cave for 'inhabitants' before turning his attention to the details.

Taking his time he collects any valuables he finds, pockets them for later examination, storing the oil he finds with greatest care.

Then he turns to what is most valuable for him- the books.

He examines all of them carefully and smiles as he notices the taste the former inhabitants had when it comes to novels. Yet as always- the details are that matter and he scribbles a short note into his sketchbook to later remember their origins- Fortitude, the gate town leading to Arcadia.

Putting those that have been preserved best into his backpack he turns his attention to the book he thinks to be a journal. Noticing the bad state it is in he decides to wrap it into his blanket before storing as well- deciding this greatest treasure, this collection of experiences and thoughts, needs to be protected and preserved for later studies.

Hurrying after the group now he smiles to himself- this trip had already payed off.

I'd like to hear the report from the Familiar first before I decide a direction but your suggestion will be taken into consideration. As for the torches keep them lit, if we are attacked that means we limit the number of people able to actually fight. I'd prefer a Low-Light Vision spell for those who can't see but am willing to take the chance with torches as we have our own eyes and ears in Kor'vain's Familiar.

*Listens to Kor'vain then turns to Davstar as he interrupts.*

Falheen approaches the group in a less than subtle way, humming to himself as he is clearly in very good mood.

He extinguishes his lamp again as he sees no reason to waste his precious oil and then sits down to make a sketch of this cave- complete with river and all, adding notes and a small map as well.

She notices Falheen return and looks from him to the water which Davstar is gesturing at, and finally back to the elf

"Well go on then. Take a look."

* The small halfling would take his boots off to get a better grip upon the ground with his feet as he Slowly makes his way to the pond his eyes searching for what was feeding the water. if a current didn't lead to the pod he would stick his head under the water trying to find out if their was a cave system under it.*

Looks at the wolf, "It'd be bessst to keep thhat thhhing on guard. Thhe humidity here removesss all but the sstrongesst ssentsss. Hiss nosse wont fair better then mine. And can we pleasse dowsse the torches. We don't want to alert anyone to our coming." Turning his gaze he looks at the Paladin. "I sssugesst you take point while I watch the rear. Of the group we have the best sight in the dark."

The water seemed to stream mainly from the brass wall toward the pond, it appeared to be merely a conveniently placed deeper hole, fluctuating from three to seven foot depth. From the pond it split to several alternative streams that separated to the descending tunnels, and to the larger water pool by the mossy patches which at least from their current position appeared to fill that entire cavern.

It was likely that behind the brass wall was a much larger water supply and that at least in some of the paths there were natural drains where the water lead to as not to flood, well save the larger pool which may have once been a tunnel in itself, the pond however appeared to lead nowhere in itself. However...
