"Your honor, I am Notary One Mathias Greymane, if it would please the court I am willing to continue leading the prosecution on behalf of the Harmonium."

The Prosecution was ordered into custody and to allow him to simply walk out on his own... would be dangerous to my client should he be found not guilty. Officer Erroc must be arrested and held until a trial can be arranged against him. If my client is found not guilty then there is nothing to stop him from grabbing him upon exit from the court to be sprited away from the city... to sate Crattens vengence.
Again... in the name of safety, security and law... your original order to arrest must stand. To do otherwise will degenerate your control over this court to the point where council will hold no more confidence than the prosecution.
My clients safety, in the hands of the court, is paramount.

- I never said I agreed yer word was a law, neither did I ever say mine was. Ye're a judge whom studies laws but everyone has their own interpretation or knowledge of it. I asked for a trial, but I didn't ask for one with history that could be harmful for the trial. Ye tell me to spare ye from lecture, but then I'm to eat yer lecturing while I have likely lived in Cage longer than ye have, been part of factions longer than ye have. I have made it clear that ye can deem him innocent of charges since the prosecution is leaving, as ye're telling them to leave. I ain't imposing ye to claim his guilt, as I have noted I fully assume ye to deem the accused not guilty of charges mentioned, I'm merely moving to new trials. And the accused is still wanted for attempts of enslavement. I've told ye to do nothing, but move on with trial, but when ye finally choose to do so, it is after ye've questioned the prosecution for prolonged time about matters that were irrelevant for the case other than an attempt to make the Harmonium look worse, such thing of which the prosecution themselves got told when they did akin to accused and then ye choose to remove the said prosecution for standing up and telling about it. Ye may feel I'm a berk or sod yer honor, but everything I've said and done has been done knowing that it ain't against Fraternity laws, disrespectful aye, but not against yer laws. Prosecution is allowed to withdraw the case, I'm legally the one whom asked the trial and latest known prosecutor of the case so I believe it's fair to assume I also have the highest authority when it comes to withdrawing the case as well. Or is the laws of Fraternity going so far as to tell when a case can't be pulled off? I would like to remind of Evrin McSticklys last case where he abruptly pulled off the case. Yer honor speaks of equality, but it would seem some are more equal than others. [/li]

Then the defence adheres to the orders of this court and refuses your pausing of charges. You cannot simply choose to change the rules and charge, uncharge, move charge, recharge and repeat until you get the result you want. That is not law... that is petty vengence.

The Gauth also pauses briefly before droning on
"In light of the precedent established in the prior case wherein Prosecutor Ervin McStickley was allowed to withdraw the charges presented to the court, the court will allow that the prosecution is within their rights to withdraw their charges and end this trial in favor of the defense. Though this seems a tacit acknowledgement that the prosecution is unable to effectively argue its case, the prosecution is free to make such an admission.
This admission you would be allowed to make, Mr. Cratten, if you were still the prosecution and not in the process of being expelled from the court.
If the individual who is chosen to take up your position as prosecutor sees fit to withdraw the charges, they are more than welcome to."

*Mathias let's out a heavy sigh and repeats what he said before the last spout of bickering*
"Again, your honor, if it would please the court I will take over the prosecution on behalf of the Harmonium. I have been working this case as well, so I am familiar with all the charges and evidence... which seems to include a loan application of mine that was obtained illegally as I was never notified it would be seized as evidence by the defense.
That said, I notice that the defense has yet to provide any actual evidence that shows they are in any way innocent of the charges being pressed, and would like to continue the proceedings."
*Mathias gives Cratten a cold, disappointed look before turning back to the judge, wearing a forced smile.*
