"The wood.. it is my undead delaying them. I hoped they will buy us some time and the demons will destroy them so they will not bother your countryside afterwards."

He explains openly, no need to hide what he has done as they already know about the darkness in his heart- about his pragmatism.

"When I attacked the demons at that stronghold they stopped fighting me as soon as I took down their leader. Someone.. something drives them to attack this place and if you take this priest out the hordes might scatter- which makes them easy targets to be hunted down.

I help you in this attack if you want.

However...", he looks at the priest who is gathering the soldiers. "... I think first I should help dealing with the intruders. Perhaps we can still find a peaceful solution and direct their destructive urges against the attacking demon army."

"And please, lead the way, this is your discovery after all!"

There is a moments hesitation before Hasclaan gets a response.

"Very well if you can avoid sullying the temple with bloodshed then please do s however should tjat prove impossible remember these are desperate times and we serve a god of war."

The priest leads Hasclaan outside and they are quickly joined by five knights, swiftly the group makes its way to the temple and they are soon in sight of its spires and arches.

As she examines the structure of the temple from her perch Ayase would realize it is built lile a fortress. It would take siege weaponary, powerful magic or an explosion at its very foundations to bring it down. The city is likewise fortified, the prescence of a militant faith doing much to increase security. A great many knights miltia and soilders walk the streets and do patrols. Her repeated casting of detect magic would tell her that the very air around her is saturated with spells.

Ramal joins the other two by the entrance to the crypt and smiles.

"Such timid little thinks Yanek sends to retieve me I am suprised. Do not worry little brothers I shall venture first into the dark of the crypt and confront whatever horrors they have hidden there. If we are lucky we can free it and perhaps it will destroy the city and us as well."

There is no hint of sarcasm to his words the prospect of the city being anihilated along with himself actually seems to amuse him greatly. Drawing his greatsword he does not walk down the stairs so much as leap them.

As Ramal goes ahead, Dorian unsheathes his own blade, a wicked looking bastard sword that gives off a dark ((negative)) aura.

He nods to Mauric then nods in the direction of Ramal and whispers "at the first opportunity we strike"

He then leaps after Ramal, hoping that Maric will act in coordination with him when the time comes. He has no reason to expect a Destroyer would pass an opportunity up to attack someone.

As he follows, he also takes the time to cast a few wards. ((Assuming enough rounds: Protection from Good, Persist Vigour, Persist Aid, Persist Prayer, Conviction, Persist Divine Favour, Death Ward, Persist Blindsight)). He holds other shorter term spells in reserve for a time when they are necessary.

"While I admire your valour and willingness to do what is necessary but in times like these we need to preserve our strenght.

So lets see if they will listen. If not....", he lets his voice trail off and shrugs.

"Reminds me- if it comes to violence we will do the following..."

Quickly he briefs the Priests and the knights of his plan as they approach the temple.

As Mauric and Dorian prepare their spells benath the temple Hasclaan and the knights approach discussing stratergy.

From her vantage point a top the tower Ayase would notice Hasclaan and the group of knights entering the temple and even at this hight she would recognize him.

from her perch ayase stares at the approaching group, scowling in annoyance. assuming the spells that saturates the space around her dont tamper the undeads, she summons her shadow servant (SD lvl 3), hastens herself (and possibly the shadow too) with flee the scene, ordering the shadow to stick to the shades of the temple so to (hopefully) go unnoticed, find her companions into the crypts, and report back to her what they're doing. she's ready to go back downstairs herself too. perhaps is time to put some explosives or tools she got from the armory to good use
