Ok, this is an odd one, and I think I've seen it a long time ago, but hadn't happened in forever.

While standing in an empty area, buffing, halfway through sometimes all my buffs just are cancelled. Like wiped off. And I have to start over. This is not the most fun situation, lol. Is it possibly related to this update?

Addendum: It MIGHT be Death Ward related, though not immediately when I cast it. Also, I'm not casting anything that gives penalties that should implement the Death Ward script? Gonna try not buffing it and seeing what happens.

Nope, this is an issue that comes and goes. It seems to be most likely to happen with aura type buffs, but possibly death ward can cause it as well.

We have never understood how or why this happens and can only presume its a game engine issue.

Sometimes it can be a problem for a character for a while, sometimes it lasts until the next reset, sometimes it only happens once.

In other words, we are pretty clueless about how/why this happens.

Yep, the buffing disappearances happened to me as well.

It does not seem to have any consistency to it however. Sometimes i can cast and keep all my buffs, sometimes all of them disappear, sometimes only half of them disappears.

It is very strange.

Main thing is it isn't happening too often to too many people.

Sometimes relogging can help as well, although once you catch the bug, it can require a server reset before your character gets better.

When i was actively playing, it would perhaps happen to one of my characters once every few months... something that you can live with. If its happening like every week or day, then its a real problem.

It happened to me a few times recently as well. I had heard about it before but it had never happened to one of my characters.

BTW!

Cannot change my half orcs clothing anymore. Regardless what I do I get a XP:Craft You cannot change the variation of this item message in the event log.

Giving the item to a different toon allows it to be changed however.

Resetting did not remove the 763 stacked copies of my armor, so I just chucked them in the trash can in the OOC room. Also worth noting is that they renamed my armor to 'Armor' from its custom name.

Today i've removed some of the options for the appearance changer, but i presume the half-orc ability to change should be there, so looks like a bug.

And armors are simply not set to be stackable, unless your armour for some reason is.... which would be just strange.

Oh, I got the same multiple-armours-stacking bug today...
It disequipped itself automatically as I was using the appearance changer, stacked in 31 copies in my inventory and got renamed as a simple "armor", though it was a Shadowdancer Outfit.
Worst thing was that I couldn't use it anymore because apparently I "didn't have the requisites" :D

I also trashed the exceeding 30 copies, and kept one as a memento u_u
