Hera steps forward and after having traveled for days in the outlands she adresses what is foremost on her mind and probably foremost on the minds of the others too.

"We have been traveling for days without proper rest we seek shelter and passage to sigil."

That the gate town isn't in some state of emergency about the cataclysm that has recently befallen its surrondings is either lost on her or she is simply too exhausted to care.

"Yes, yes.. what she said..."

Falheen is very tired and it shows in the deep lines surrounding his eyes but his lips still curl into a smile and his step is self assured.

The city seemed to be in solid and stable state beyond the city gate guards, then took a glance and would indeed see a rather worn out bunch. Likely the group hadn't been able to keep up to proper luxury of cleanliness due to lack of baths or other such for a couple of weeks now, of course it wasn't impossible to tend to ones appearance, but such is easily let slip in absence of requiring to look presentable. The guards would step aside.

"You may enter." however the creature lifted its hand and gestured at the torus dangling from a chain on Chakras chest area. "Though I warn you traveler, you may not wish to keep that in sight. For your safety." soon looked to the distance of interior of the city and pointed inside it. "Follow this road, it'll spiral you to the direction you need to go. Upon the second tier you will find an inn, upon the fourth tier you will find a portal to Sigil. If you reach the peak, you've gone too far."

Winged humanoid looked at Falheen with appraising eyes with a hint of disbelief to what it deemed ignorance and noted firmly "She will kill you if you do not heed my words. Perhaps the previous owner of your possessions didn't explain to you of forbidden objects within the city of Sigil." the creature appeared to presume them not being these holy symbols current owners "It is not often we see the dead gods symbols any longer... but she still remembers and she will not forget."

Falheen would offer to carry some of the Halfling's share of supplies as he knows he is above avarage strenght but carries no heavy armour nor any large weapons.

"If we are lucky we can get away far enough from the spire's influence while we still have water. I then can conjure more." Or so he hopes.

During the journey he will still make regular breakes to draw the surroundings but his drawings get smaller- where a single one filled two pages he now tries to fit two on a single page. He clearly misses his other sketchbooks as he would he enjoyed to try and compare the landscape to what he has drawn and he lets his companion know about this- repeatedly.

Hera takes a few supplies for herself but not a great many she clearly doesn't eat much. She hands a bag or two to Falheen. She carries what she is able which is of course limited by her size

"Lets try to be quick. The quicker we get back to the cage the quicker we can take stock and get answers. Surely someone there must have noticed this."

*Touches the symbol*

She? Who will kill me? Why is my holy symbol of Aoskar forbidden? Do tell I beg.

"...."

Fhaleen is surprised but tries not to show it, using the time the Paladin speaks to gather his thoughts. Reaching into his pocket he touches his own, less expensive Torus, the one he got when he was accepted as minor cleric into the faith.

He never really had ambitions to raise high in the church of Aoskar, always saw this as just another of his many interests. Like swordplay, archery, casting of minor arcane spells and... his thoughts return to the present and his eyes narrow as he realizes the consequences of what he heard.

This angels are not known for lying, not even for playing jokes like the Eladrin sometimes do. And its concern was genuine- as far as he can tell. So it must be the truth.

"Ahhh... yes. Perhaps you can point me to a local sage or library where I can do some research on this, please?"

Turns to his companions and continues with lowered voice.

"We should find out some details about what happened before we enter the cage. It seems our mission's former goals no longer matter. Oh.. and I want to find out more about the ring I found of course."

Celestial blooded looked at Chakra quizzically for some time before replying "Perhaps you are not prepared to walk the streets of Sigil just yet. This is your journey to traverse, how you survive from here on will be your decision. I have given the warning, how you use it, is in your hands." the celestial told cryptically and inclined its head, to some it could be interpreted as being an unhelpful sod, to others in turn it could be interpreted as encouragement to self-improvement. It looked at Falheen next "You can find the library in tier three of the same road this is also where the sage lies in. May Pelors guiding light shine your path."

Multi-choice ensues: (Pick one without peeking at another, just color the text to see its contents)

Try to pry out more out of the gate guard:

[Chakra]The celestial gives another appraising look at you and considers a brief moment "A long time ago Aoskar was slain by lady of Pain and his followers killed, routed or cast into mazes. Rumors say she turned against him only after one of her servants turned to the faith of Aoskar. Fell, a dabus whom still lives when others do not." the entity seemed mildly displeased, but not truly surprised as it knew how mortals would react.[/Chakra]

Go to the inn:
[+] Spoiler
They travel toward the first tier of and soon after second tier of the ascending spiral, it is clearly marked with signs and gradual even stages. Looking up it appeared to go all the way to six tiers. As they reach the second they find a number of stores, that are currently closed, but the inn appears to be open. Quiet at the time as most residents are sleeping. Entering it shows the exterior in a soft hue colored commons with crackling fire in the center. All tables were empty at the time. A dog faced seven and half foot tall humanoid was attending the front counter at the moment and could be recognized to be a hound archon by a few of them and greeted them while speaking softly.

"Greetings, looking for a room? I've got two nobility rooms for twenty gold coins a night , one residential room for five gold coins a night and multiple bed rooms for one gold coin a night that can hold four of you."
Go to the library:

[Falheen & Hera]Going past the inn which seemed so very inviting, ascending to the higher levels of the city through the spiral, each tier is close to even rough circle shaped stage that kept going inwards gradually to the next higher stage. As they reach the third they notice large number of residential area, but there was also a library which appeared to be open despite it being night. As they enter they'd reach notice a single quodrone organizing books with a a magnifying glass darting back and forth from its eye as it inspected the titles, Four functional arms, a distinct box shape and wings in its back.

Glancing at those entering "Query: Why are they here?" it studied them and continued "Social: Welcome to my database."[/Falheen & Hera]

Go to the portal of Sigil:
[+] Spoiler
Having been so long away from Cage they decided to wait no longer and thus traveled to the fourth tier where the portal was, ascending the spiral path until in the fourth tier. Luckily due to the design of the city it wasn't too difficult to pass by something without knowing it and especially to Sigil there was quite the crowd going and standing by the portal. They could see those that are passing by are holding out what appears to be a silvery statue of some kind of feminine figure they don't quite recognize. Portal opening to those with the key, but not for the ones trying to use the Aoskars torus to open it, as it appears to no longer function as a portal key... they're however in luck as there's someone actually making business out of the statues next to them. A sleazy appearing heavy built human with couple thugs next to it, likely some Cage scum coming here for quick jink.
