Learn proceedure before you call a witness, Notary. There is still the matter of the original order... or are you so quick to forget?

If the Gauth could nod to Victor, it would. As it stands, Judge Plargh seems content to float over his podium silently while the Harmonium sorts out for itself who they wish to assign to the prosecution. Its only input into the process is to call Victor to his side and whisper to him briefly.

Victor whispers back to Plargh, making dismissive gestures.

((Bedtime... have fun, and roll with the punches... and don't forget, this time if the court gets out of hand, Ivan will physically remove anyone who fails to heed the judge. No second warnings.))

The Judge bangs its gavel after the appointed recess has elapsed

"The court thanks B3 Mabel for helping to clarify these particularly vexing inter-factional issues. Now that the unrelated, but nonetheless important, matters of procedure and jurisdiction have been addressed I trust we will be able to move forward with a greater deal of efficiency."

3 of Plargh's eyes swivel to face Charles

"If the defense would care to do something more productive than loudly voice complaints about the potential appointment of Notary Greymane to the prosecution, the court would certainly consider any Harmonium personnel the defense cares to suggest for the position so long as the Harmonium also deems them acceptable.

If you cannot produce any alternatives, then we must needs make do with what we have."

The Defence wants you to uphold your ruling that the previous Prosecutor be arrested and held until the trial ends... or is it customary for the court to simply allow the ruling to be overruled by anyone walking through the door? Officer Erroc threatened this court and attempted to intimidate the sitting judge, tried to annul the charges due to the trial not going his way and ordered court harmonium guards to sieze the defendant and escort him out of the city. Your honour ordered his arrest for these actions. The order must be upheld.

As I stated moments ago... if they court refuses to abide by rulings made by the judge then there is little hope that any rulings made from this point on will count for anything at all.

"Mover Erroc was to be arrested so that the Harmonium could properly deal with him, and to prevent his attempt at forcibly removing the defendant from this courthouse. Both of these goals have been accomplished. Not that I am required to appease your desires or justify my actions to you, but you can rest assured that Mover Erroc will find that his actions here have not been without consequence to his career and station.

If you have further objections regarding the treatment of the former prosecution, you may feel free to take it up with B3 Mabel, as the court defers judgement to him in matters of his professional specialization.

Now unless you also wish to give up your seat as defense, we will move on. Does the defense have any recommendations they would like to make for the prosecution? I will not ask a third time."

*Mathias looks between Phlarg and Goodman for a moment, then sits down on a bench. He produces a page from the latest SIGIS from his pocket and reads, waiting for them to finish their discussion in silence.*

No, your honour, that wasn't the intent behind the arrest order... it was, and I quote, "You will follow the bailiffs out of this courtroom to a holding cell, where you will remain for the duration of these proceedings."

While you allowed for his punishment to be chosen by the Harmonium, he must first serve the first order as it was issued before his... allies, came into the court and forced you to back down.

*Glances up, giving Goodman his fake, hateful smile*

"Must he? Seems like his honor can do whatever he wants, as it's his courtroom not yours."

*glances sideways* Do not speak for the judge... I have simply restated exactly what he said... or is this how you plan to run your case... with a childish smirk on your face befitting a child and not an officer?
