He let himself being dragged, intoxicated by the fresh scent, that seemed to calm him after the adrenalin rush of the battle. As she strode along, he couldn't help but smirk, how akin the interior was to what she chose for Alice. And he finally understood her desire to own a ship. He matched her speed, to keep up. After she led them to her room, he stopped, with a broad smile taking in the sights within. He had no idea what language she had used, it wasn't akin to anything he heard in his life. As the answer came, his smile became almost perpetual.
- I should be surprised.. but somehow I was waiting for something like this. Magnificent ship...
He slowly walked around in the room, checking everything she had collected there. Then he nodded, slowly turning, and glancing at her.
- Welcome home, Sava'ii. I just wish your other half could see this.

-- “She will, she will”, she said with a grinning wide smile and flopped to sit or half lay down on the middle couch, “Hjyng's awake now and she'll sense it, no doubt – I would, no?”

For a while she said nothing more, just examined Mash's expression until the baritone voice caught her attention again, and what it said made her frown. She gazed the jet black walls a moment and they flared into life, showing a number of things; one of the walls had a rapidly changing image with clockwork runes slowly ticking clockwise whereas between them flashed green and yellow lines in superficially haphazard manner; the middle wall showed nothing but dark, with faint texture that resembled rock surface; the rightmost scrolling an incomprehensible looking string of runes too fast to actually read them, but yet Mir's attention was mainly at it.

-- “There is a hefty load of rock above us. Will take some time for Hjyng to figure out how to get rid of it”, she said with a sigh and relaxed on the couch, “Until then, we wait. And yes, the name sounds familiar, no? It became part of my own when I acquired him. Lets say "him", although he has no kind of gender to speak of.”

He nodded, taking the couch on the left of her, getting comfortable, as he tried to process all that she said. The language she and the ship used stuck in his mind, for some reason it reminded him of every he knew, and yet of none. He streched a bit, with a few cracks alleviating the pressure from his bones.
- Hjyn'g? - he smirked - I wonder if all whom you deem worth remembering end up as part of your life. Actually, a nice thought.
He silenced then, like it was just something he thought to himself, watching her for a while. Right now, there was no difference between her and his Mir, save for the wings.
His hands wandered on the collar in his neck again, and he frowned a bit.
- Think you could take this off? I appreciate the irony.. but I doubt I have anywhere from run from here. Nor would I ever try to. I have too many questions.

She thought a moment.

-- “Name is a book of memorable events for us, a tome of history. And yes, you're correct – that is how the name is formed over time.”

A gentle shudder of Hjyng shut her mouth as she was reaching to take the no more needed collar off, and then a creak and rumble, followed by another shudder. The baritone voice said something briefly, and then it begun to sing... sing a chorus with itself with a thousand voices, and the ground around them shook shattering, the noise muffled by the sheer size of Hjyng itself. It was not Weave it tapped to, but something far more ancient, the voices rising in intensity until it felt they were sitting in middle of a cathedral filled with people singing to their hearts' content, singing of freedom... And the bedrock gave up...

He smiled, relaxing after the collar was removed, listening to the voices that permeated the air. He found himself at the temple again, watching her bringing the lifes lost centuries ago back to existence, as she awakened the ancient city, if only for a brief time, to life again. He listened to the sound of the ship, as it made its way through the layers of soil to reach for the surface once more. And he watched her, studying her expression, as her freedom, the final freedom came closer by every meter the ship raised itself. For a second, he had to blink, as he glanced at her, seeing double, two that are the same, yet so far away overlapping for a blink of an eye. Yet, it was a comforting thought. And then, above all questions, the one that he had been thinking of most left his lips.
- Are you taking her, too?

End/Game

He smiled at the performance, nodding slighty. Then his sight wandered upwards, following the orb of light she had created. It illuminated the whole chamber by now,
and he could see the ceiling in its full glory. From the corner of his eye, he registered movement, and frowned.
- Hmm.. you think the Nar left behind their pets?
- Why? - she asked, glancing at him, then following his eyes - Oh...
- Yup.. prepare yourself.
The shadows on the ceiling let go of the hard stone they attached themselves to, awoken by the light they fell towards them. The bluish light gave a haunting look to their bizarre looks. Mash could not decide whether they were true fiends, or just the product of some sick experiment. They looked like Cambions, but were a lot more animal like then the ones he had met up to now. Mir did ponder less of their origins, and more of their demise. One never reached ground, torn to pieces by the assault of her force projectiles. Two other touched up with a low thud on the floor, and their glowing eyes fixated on the two tieflings. Neither hesitated though, and as their sleak blades shimmered to life in the darkness, they lept forward, to meet the enemy.
- Not the best day to remind myself I left the cold iron one in the .. bag - Mash growled, dodging some dangerously sharp claws, and stabbing forward, causing the creature to howl in agony.
- Well, sounds like silver works, too - she snickered, jumping over the other, giving it a kick in the back, before she turned to stab it in the ribs.
Despite their appearances, the monsters were not that hard to beat as Mash expected. They charged rather blindly at them, trying to bite and claw their way into their flesh, but they were not fast enough for the two. After a few minutes, he finally gave his the final stab, and the monster collapsed on the floor, only to dissolve into a pile of goo a second later. Soon after, Mir ended her game as well. They smirked at each other, as both bodies disappeared.
- That wasn't too .. - she couldn't finish her sentence, as a series of roars echoed through the hallways to them.
- I guess.. we really stirred them up this time. - he frowned, turning towards the entrance to the chamber.
They heard heavy running steps in the distance, coming closer and closer, from all directions. For a minute, he wondered why they did not detect them on their way in, but then he turned to assess their situation. There was no other way out then the one they used to enter this place, and besides what she was looking for was behind them, hidden by the wall of the room. The first creatures showed
up at the entrance, their eyes glimmering in the darkness, as they glanced upon the two, illuminated by the orb of blue light. They were a mix of all sort of fiends, some Mash recognized, but some he had never seen in his life. The monsters hesitated for now, just keeping them under surveillance, but their numbers grew by the second. Mir frowned, looking at the collection of enemies
- Wow, they really all heard the invitation to dinner.
- Guess so.. Why not just blast them to oblivion?
- I have nothing that would not kill us in the process as well - she sighed - Room's not big enough.
- Heh.. well then we just have to do it the old fashioned way.
The growls and roars became louder, and as they glanced beyond the door, they couldn't see the floor anymore, as it was all hidden by the mass of monsters waiting at the door. And then, they all silenced.
Heavy steps were heard, as something a lot bigger approached around the corner. The massive body came into sight, the bat like wings streching wide, its skin covered in flames, the glowing, deep red eyes piercing the darkness to take a look at the two in the middle of the room. The smaller fiends made way for this one, as it slowly walked closer. It stopped at the entrance, giving them an appraising glance. Its eyes stopped on the figure of the woman. An eerie laughter emanated from its maw, and it spoke.
- So, you have returned, after so much time. You always were the favorite, the exalted one.
- Do I know you? - she asked perplexed.
- Oh, guess you don't really remember, I was just a lowly prize compared to you - it growled - They left me to rot in that cell in the prison, while they let the likes of you free to roam!
- Boo-hoo, are you going to cry now? - she grinned, answering in a mocking tone.
- Watch your mouth, harlot! The Nar ain't here anymore to protect your pretty little face. I shall enjoy eating it off your living flesh.
- Try me, focker.
- KILL HER!
At its words, the black mass of lesser fiends began flooding into the room. They ran on the floor, they climbed the walls, trying to encircle the two. Mash backed up against Mir, and she did the same. For a second, he had the urge to chuckle.
- Now that brings back memories.
- Mhm.. the Khaasta in the hideout. But then, we were three.
- You.. you remember? - he glanced back perplexed.
- Course I do. I was half awake then. - she chuckled - So then Mash, let's hope our performance will be at least that good, ay?
- Sure thing! - he grinned, and with that grin awaited the first one to try him. He didn't have to wait long.

They fought, back to back, dancing in place around in a circle, each protecting the back of the other. Their arms moved like quicksilver, in a single, chaotic motion, as they led their blades into their dance of blood and death. At times they won enough ground, to give Mir a few seconds time, enough to cast a few spells, decimating the enemy numbers by a few more. The humming projectiles of the missile storm shred the fiends to pieces, and her lightning bolts scorched a line into the assaulting mob. But no matter how hard they fought, the number of their enemies didn't seem to decrease. But they did become more cautious, stopping their blind charges, encircling them, probing their defenses, trying to wear them out minute by minute.
- This is getting nowhere! - she growled, giving her enemies the evil eye - I don't know just how many of these there could be.
- Well, not much we can do, really.
- There is - she answered, with a soft sigh - They just want me, you could use your abilities to get out of here.
- Heh, I'm sure you'd just love that - he chuckled - but it ain't gonna happen. I gave my word remember? Besides.. I'd never leave Mir behind.
She turned to the side, despite the danger, to glance him in the eye at that comment. There was no sign of the uptight and dismayed being that he met a few days ago in Candlekeep. Her eyes and expression only reflected relief, and a hint
of gratitude. She nodded briefly, with a small smile, then spoke.
//cue cheesy music ^_^ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNyOfIJiGxg
- Well, we can try one more thing.. if you can give me enough time.
- How much you need?
- Two minutes or so.. but I will be vunerable doing that, you'll have to keep them away from me.
- Consider it done! - he grinned, putting away one rapier, to be left with only one - I won't let them touch you.
- Aight.. let's do this then..
She lowered her weapons, and raised her head high. The fiends saw the opening, and lept forward, to use the crack in their combined defenses. Mash lept to the side, colliding with each and every one of them, his blade repelling their attacks
at lightning speed. She began chanting in a low voice, but it was unlike any spell he heard her doing before. The words were arcane, he could discern that, but she didn't speak any spell. The words rhymed, slowly flowing into each other, getting
faster, and more chaotic as she raised her voice. She was singing to the Weave itself, the powers she awakened jumped into place in random order, without any reason. Her eyes shone in a soft yellow light, and she laughed.
- It's been quite some time.. I still remember it!
Mash didn't have the time to answer, as he was busy keeping their enemies at bay. The Balor they saw earlier had enough of the failed attempts, and marched into the room, heading straight for them. As it did, it tore through the wave of lesser minions, throwing them to the side. The tiefling turned to face the new enemy, placing himself between it and the chanting woman behind him.
- Well hello there, ugly! - he grinned, jumping forward to meet the rushing demon, to be sent back flying by its jab.
He landed on his feet, rushing again, trying to hold back the fiend, while Mir was busy casting whatever it was. The Balor slashed at him again and again, and every time he parried, but the force of the attacks slowly drove him back, towards the woman.
- Miir, hurry up! - he shouted, nearly heading his head severed by a powerful attack from the demon.
The claws ran along the collar he was wearing, giving an irritating, screeching sound. He jumped a bit backwards, only to have to parry yet another attack. He glanced back. Three more steps, then we're done.

The powers came to her at her whim, flowing around her, answering the call of her song. It was no spell anymore, though it began as one. Her mind clicked, as so many times before, the words went awry, the energies reformed. She felt them cursing around her fingers, forming up into two spheres in her hands. She smiled, as the pure and unaltered power of the weave flowed through her body. It wanted out, it wanted to be free, but she was not ready yet. Her mind cluthced around the arcane flow like a shackle around the hand of a prisoner, guiding it, focusing it. She finally registered her sorrounding again, and saw the back of the male tiefling, as he slowly succumbed to the Balor. He was too close, and he let himself hit, instead of being pushed back anymore. "Silly man" she thought, leading the energies in their final channel.
- MASH! DUCK!
He turned at that, and hugged the ground. Mir was sorrounded by serpents made of pure light and arcane energies, coiling around her waist and arms, ready to be set free. Her wolflike eyes smiled at him, a she spread her fingers, letting the snakes to do as their pleased.

A blinding blue wall of light struck from her in all directions, the serpents of light riding it, hissing as they reached every corner of the room. A roar. A thousand screams. The sound of something cracking, like a wine glass in his hands. Then silence.. and darkness.

The release of Weave in its raw form wasn't a trifling matter by any means, at least not normally, but for Mir it was as natural as breathing, albeit in the scale she released it the strain was considerable and she collapsed onto her knees, panting and delightedly giggling. The force unleashed had torn the lesser fiends apart or sent them back to wherever they had came from. But there was still the issue of the Balor, who was momentarily struck blind and stunned but still remained standing, although smoldering more than usual, the skin cracked and black. Weakened, but all the more pissed it was...

- I commend you on your efforts, little girl - it snarled stepping over the body of her companion - But takes a bit more to kill me. I survived millenia down here, I won't be destroyed by the likes of you!
It spread its wings, lunging towards her, the skin peeling piece by piece, the bat-like wings full of holes, as the aftermath of her strike slowly ate itself through the body of the outsider. She had but moments to act.

...and she acted, springing to a tumbling roll to get away from path of the fiend, squinting her eyes with a hiss, a hand rising as her lips begun forming another set of words. A low rumble replied to her and in a blink of an eye the floor shattered as a handful of razor sharp obsidian stalagmites rose to meet with the bull-rushing Balor... And in the next heartbeat she was half prowling, half dashing, to behind the fiend. She had no more magic of her own at disposal for a while, but just like her other self never went anywhere without scrolls, neither did she. A few words came uttered, rising a wind to give the fiend a hefty thrust to propel it forth even faster.

- What the...
The historians would have probably argued for years, whether these last words were befitting of someone the stature of a Balor, if there had been any there. But for the fiend, it was a pretty moot point, as accelerated by the wind blast, ran head on onto the razor sharp stones she had conjured. Her outburst of energy had weakened its defenses, the skin crackled and soft, easy prey for the hungry obsidian stakes. The thousand years long career of a high ranking demon ended in the most pathetic, and ironic ways possible. Impaled on a handful of sharp sticks. It roared and thrased, only succeeding in pushing the deadly devices deeper into itself. It lay there, its body fluids pooling up beneath it. The red eyes, full of hatred locked with her eyes.
- Nice.. move.. you'd .. make.. an.. excellent.. pleasure.. devil.
The eyes then lost their gleam, and the massive body started to decompose on her trap, until nothing remained, but the obsidian spears, covered in sticky and stinking liquid.
