Only druids can if they have the feat that allows them to cast during wildshapes, and only in druidic shapechanges.
Anything else canNOT with F key.
That should be pretty much the result of the poll :P

You are absolutely correct on that one.
To access the spells, you need to go through the Eye-Menu.
To the Duergar Transmuter. But only cast spells when your form would allow it, you need at least 10 fingers, and a mouth capable of speech.
Unless your spells are all both silent and still.

I saw someone doing that with a shifted warlock.
was not sure if its okay to do that or not? seems kinda a pain in the rump, and does not hurt my fun at all (kinda cool to watch).

Only druids with the Natural Spell feat should be able to cast while shapeshifted and should be thereby be able to bring up the quickcast menu via use of the F key.
Anyone else casting spells via the 'eye menu' is using an exploit.
At least that's the official version.

NWN 2 game mechanically yeah... DnD mechanically 50/50, they'd require to be able to have fingers/limbs capable of doing complex practised spellcasting movements... not just pair of clubs you wave around and physically capable of talking intelligible languages, IE. hypothetically talking draconic, barking or any animal noises won't do... the Natural Spellcasting feat for druids is exception that allows them to cast WHILE barking/meowing or what not though.[<3 wrote:,Dec 22 2009, 09:29 PM] Anyone else casting spells via the 'eye menu' is using an exploit.

Mr O I think you will Find that Draconic is a Language of Magic and Most Dragons have modified versions of Humanoid spells to be cast without the Gestures if they were too complex for Dragon hands.
But as to the Question on the Polymorphed casting as Mr O says If the Creature that you are Polymorphed into could cast spells then so can you.

In older editions, dragons had a special method of casting . . . in 3rd edition D&D, they cast spells like any other caster, speak normally, and have manipulative digits.
Any shape which can speak one of the caster's languages and has manipulative digits/limbs can cast spells. Of course, in D&D, if the spell required material components, and the component pouch weren't accessible because of shapeshifting, that could be a problem.
