Well, as quite a few might've noticed that I've been somewhat semi-away for quite a while, though little bit forum activity and tiny bit in game activity, thought I'd finally let people know that I've been working on actually making a large-ish project of my own.
I'm still somewhat divided whether I'll make it be a campaign or actual PW, but it's going to consume most of my time and effort currently. Some may or may not know that I've actually been quite up to a low magic setting for lower levels.
This'll also help me to practise my newly found programming skills for making fancy types of scripts for systems which I've been kind of plotting for some time.
And for those whom wonders which setting I'll be using? Technically none, although I'll be highly influenced by few. I'm thinking about making my own setting alongside writing plenty lore as to provide myself the means for complete control over the alteration of the server. The actual details are still under consideration, but here is the couple things that I'm set upon:
- 1) The starting will occur within a "lawful evil" society city and the history traits will be playing greater role upon choosing how the character is played (custom made) as they will be "hierarchy" traits more so than history. So players can choose to be slaves or even nobles of lesser houses right off the bat, each of them have a bit different benefits, but also the downsides due to reputation. 2) There will be specific deity or regional/nationalities which also affects ones reputation greatly especially within the city since those of not of local caste will be far less liked in most public circles. 3) Of course the goody-two-shoes starts from same place, they will have their own choices and selections. And where there is tyranny there is always some kind of resistance or disturbance. 4) It will be tooled around low levels, not like tormenting people to be stuck to level 1 for months, but more like preventing people from getting above certain set number of level. I'm still debating what the limit is actually. [/li]
But making something outta nothing and trying entirely new approach to make things is something which keeps my intrigue moving. Anyhow, that means far less SCoD time and more taking time in my own project.
