Righty then...
I accidentally failed when naming Kestal. Her name is Hope "Kestal", as I completely forgot about the quotation marks being used for tells. Could I please get it changed to Hope 'Kestal', with single quotes instead of quotation marks?
Thanks in advance!

Why do you even need those " ' ' " marks on your character's name?
Just asking, because of being curious.

Hope is her real name. Kestal is just what everyone calls her, as she's half-drow and it's the drow word for Hope. So I put Kestal in there, in quotes, for that purpose. *Nodnod*Lost and not Found,Feb 15 2010 wrote: Why do you even need those " ' ' " marks on your character's name?

Why not call her just Kestal or Hope and introduce her as desired?
Just because a character's name is "Bobby von Smichtyhumps" it doesn't mean they have to introduce themselves with that name and that name only.

Dunno I rather like it when folks put the name they wish their character to be called floating over their head. Though technically you could have "Bib the sciblar" yet go around saying "My tag is Sam the man".
Just have to accept folks will mess it up, though a lot easier if the names match. Some day I know I will have to deal with that when shiv goes on the run and starts telling folks to call him simon.

Because, in experience, if I don't have both in the name, people won't remember.Lost and not Found,Feb 15 2010 wrote: Why not call her just Kestal or Hope and introduce her as desired?

I had a character on NWN1 whose name was "Xuileb-Ssivah", but she introduced herself as "N'aer". It wasn't until I had 'N'aer' added to her name that people actually remembered. ;)
So, same principles being applied here.
Anyway...Thankies for the fix though :)

Yeah, sometimes people just inevitably mess up. Nark and I never gave our char's last names before, but it still kinda got out there. We didn't really care, so we just let it go and started introducing the last name. xD
But for a char who really needs/wants to keep any part of their identity a secret... best to give 'em the name you want people to know over their head. Most of the time it isn't intentional, people just forget or assume.
