I mean, i've a spear with 1D6 electric and 1D6 sonic
may be shown both visual effect?
Or with 3 electric 1D6 damage on a weapon can the effect be "improved"?
It would be quite nice to see IMHO ^_^

No-- only one visial effect can be applied by normal game mechanics. If you know which visual effect you would prefer, ensure that is the enchantment you have applied to the weapon first. Also, remember that you can use the clothes changer in the OOC room and the Sensate Hall to give your weapon a different appearance.

Also, effects cannot be doubled. Otherwise you could triple enchant with +5 and have a +15 sword. :P

It does double up the impact effect though, so a fiery eletric weapon gives both the explosion and shocky effect when you hit with it :D

Actually it is possible to make double effect to items, but it requires toolset for it. We reserve using that trick to special items worthy of such however.

There's two ways, one limited and one wide variety way.

1) Item properties. Just add special effect property or alternatively damage type that adds special effect.

2) On the screenie below, the #1 and drop down menu in it would be the other effect. Though it has all the effects in it, so some of them are really non-fitting to items, others are just short period effects etc, so it requires a bit of searching to find the fitting ones.

Maybe something is different for me then, since I've seen multiple VFX applied to a weapon, on top of it's existing ones. So they all appear.

okay not on the original topic except for visual effects.

If I take a pair of gauntlets and enchant them with say cold 1d6 will it glow all funny? if so I know a character it would make sense to do that too.
