So yeah, I went to Paganfest last night! and let me tell you...if you are into pagan/folk metal...you would have loved it!

I guess I am opening this thread to share concert experiences with eachother ;)

A few of the bands I saw live:

Eluveitie, from Switserland, been waiting to see them live for ages, heard a lot about them and live they ROCK!

Arkona, the russian horde invaded the halls in Tilburg! hehe, fantastic vocals, this lady is one tough lass...and easy on the eyes, even my date agreed ;)

Alestorm, insane lads from Scotland making "True Scottish Pirate Metal" great fun to see live, they clown about, and are drunk as hell like most of us in the crowd :P This song was the one they opened with...all I can say: Yarrrr! bugger me, give me twa pints o'rum an' set o' wenches!

Finntroll, classic band...seen 'em often enough...have to say, as the years pass and they lose more members of their original set up...they lose quality imho...buuut, they were fun none the less! :D then again...I was smashed by then :unsure: so everyone was pretty and lovely to me anyway :P I simply love the yoiking :D

Eluveitie, watched a video or two sound cool though I do not know what they are saying. Dig the instruments.

Scottish Pirate metal...hehe that just sounds entertaining.

Eluveitie has quite some english lyrics though? Try looking up "Thousandfold" ? :)

Alestorm is priceless, not taking themselves seriously but just about having fun with some mean folk metal and drinking beer :P what's not to like? :D

Anyway, feel free to post you experiences here as well, I am always eager to read how others had fun ;)
