Name: Daniela Nokomis

Full Name: Daniela Ambrosia Juliette Anastasia Nokomis

Race: Human (former) – Vampyr

Age: Unknown. If she had to guess, based on her sleeping Cycles (which range from several years to Decades to centuries), over 2000. Otherwise she appears as if sheÂ’s between 18 and 20 years old.

Height: 5’7” (168cm)

Weight: 125lbs (57kg)

Hair: White. Very long, very straight

Skin tone: Pale, almost porcelain. Completely unblemished.

Mannerisms: Dani exhibits chaotic tendencies in both her actions and her moods. One moment she is charming and warm, the next nasty and cold. This pours over into any relationship she has with people. She loves her brother and sister very deeply, enough to easily sacrifice herself for them, but at the same time she hates them both and looks upon them with jealousy and envy. This schizophrenic behavior is attributed to the fact that her mind has been unable to properly process eternity. Humans arenÂ’t meant to live that long and so most who do succumb to insanity. ItÂ’s an unfortunate product of her current state.

Youth and creation

Daniela and her twin brother were born to a Count Nokomis via a surrogate mother (her younger sister born to another of his wives some 40 years after). For the most part she was a normal girl just like any other. She would mingle with the village children when permitted and enjoyed everything that came with youth. There were dark moments of course, such as when her Twin brother beat another boy to death when he had slapped Daniela when they were both 13. For some reason that incident didnÂ’t particularly bother her although it is one of the few memories she can actually bring to mind from childhood. When the twins turned 18, their father gave them the gift of immortality. It was what he had always promised would happen. From that point on she was no longer just another villager. She was simply a Nokomis. Something to be respectedÂ… to be feared. The next generation of Nokomis Vampyrs had been created.

Husbands

Throughout the centuries the three siblings had been told not to create Vampyrs unless they were accepted offspring. They were told this was to keep the bloodline pure and to ensure a flourishing food stock without spreading too much unwarranted fearÂ… as such fear always attracted those who would see them destroyed. Although Daniela has been married at least a dozen times, it was her first marriage that she remembered the most. She had not yet succumbed to the insanity that currently consumed her and was still, for all intents and purposes a fairly normal person. Davis was his name and she loved him deeply, so much that she had ignored her fatherÂ’s wishes and turned him into Vampyr so they could enjoy eternity together. The day after he awoke into his new existence, her father struck. He had Davis tied to the front gates of the estate and forced Daniela to watch as the sun rose over the property and consumed her husband to ash. It was a bitter lesson, one she never forgot and never repeated. Her successive husbands (all mortal) all died of one incident or another. In essence, she killed them all when they no longer made her feel like her first. She hasnÂ’t married another for several centuries.

Millennia of existence, the death of her Father and the big move

Daniela and her two siblings had been in a deep slumber for what was supposed to be a decade, awoke to find out they had slept for more than a century. Their crypt was sealed tightly and was near impossible to reopen. Once done, the three found themselves in the ruins of their estateÂ… razed and abandoned for nearly a century. It seemed that just after they laid themselves to rest, the estate had been attacked by a group of Vampyr hunters. Every soul that called the estate home was destroyed. The only reason the three had survived was their crypt had been hidden by the family magi before she was taken. It wasnÂ’t until the instinctual hunger forced them to awaken that this realization came to pass. Daniela was devastated. In a fit of unbridled rage, she made her way into the village and slaughtered as many people as she could find. Her madness made her incapable of stopping. Only through the sheer will of her sister was she brought under control long enough for the three to escape the area. Not long after, they found themselves in Sigil.

For two days Dani had been absent. Her room untouched, her coffin empty and no word. While it wasnÂ’t uncommon for her spend time away, she would usually tell someone she would be gone. This time, however, she didnÂ’t even take her travelling gear or street clothing. Pandris spent a bit of time looking around the area for Dani and it didnÂ’t take all that long to find her.

Pandris entered the small Hive residence through the main door. It had been left slightly ajar which was an irregularity itself. The house was silent and dark. Her eyes had little difficulty making out details. The scene she came upon was both brutal and disturbing.

First thing she noticed was that there was blood everywhere. The entire building stank of stale blood. The main room looked like all hell broke loose. There were several bodies lying throughout the main living area. A woman in her fifties, gored and disemboweled was sprawled across the table, her innards draping to the floor. Two other females in their twenties looked as if they had been mauled by a wolf. Their skin and limbs torn and shredded. Leaning against the wall was a male in his fifties. His body was not as brutalized as the others as it looked like he died lastÂ… and a lot slower. Crouched in front of him was Dani. She was completely naked and covered in blood. Her white hair was caked in dry blood and much of it was matted against her alabaster coloured skin. Blood covered her arms up to her elbows and was sprayed across the rest of her body. As Pandris entered, Dani turned her head in her direction. Her eyes were completely black and her fangs longer than usual. Fresh blood oozed from her mouth, probably from the heart held in her hand that appeared to be chewed on. She hissed viciously at Pandris. It was deadly apparentÂ… she was currently very feral and very dangerous.

Pandris held up her hand to show Dani she was no threat. Dani hissed viciously again and backed up the wall behind her, much like a spider. It appeared that she prepared to lunge at her sister. Pandris spoke to her in their native tongue. “Daniela… calm… calm. I am not here to hurt you… I am here to take you home.” Dani hissed again and then paused, a look of childlike confusion crossed her feral face. The black ichor faded from her eyes much like a receding fog and her fangs returned to their normal length. She slid down the wall and slumped on the floor. The viciousness leaving her yet it was apparent that she still did not realize what occurred around her.

Pandris carefully approached her and slid her cloak around Dani’s shoulders. “Come sister… it is time to go home”. Dani obeyed much like a mindless thrall, her mind now almost completely shut down from the trauma. It took little effort for Pandris to fix the situation. Some animate dead spells followed by invisibilities to hide them on the walk home to be disposed of. A small spell to alight the building in flame. There would be little left to show much of a crime.

For days after, Dani remained in her comatose state but she eventually awoke from it. She showed no signs of remembering the event and Pandris knew better than to inform her of it as it would likely set her off again. While things were back to normal (as normal as they could be), it was unlikely that this would be the last time something like this happened. Dani was always imbalanced but this cityÂ… it seemed to make it much worse.
