Granite Stonejaw flexed his muscles, shoving first measure Degare into one of Khazeets walls. "Your a disgrace to that uniform, one of these days your going to slip up and be held in account of your actions!" he growled as he stomped off from the Bazaar leaveing several stunned onlookers. The two Harmoniums had been having words for sometime, and the crowd had given them a wide birth and understandably so, after all Granite with his armored bulk and flaming halberd had a long reach in battle and mister Degare with his divine abilities left little doubt in their mind that a brawl between the two would leave substantial damage to the surrounding area and anyone within.
Granites night didnt improve at all after his exchange of words. He had to, not only try and arrest Raifs brother for assault on himself, but he was forced to let go despite the obvious breaking of the law by Rafaeil, who naturally pulled rank to get his brother off the hook.
The end of Granites patrol was concluded walking down a narrow alley way, dark and covered with shadows. The Harmoniums foot steps echoed one after another until he was suddenly aware his feet were unable to move. The air seemed to freeze for a moment, "Dont you ever put me on the spot like that in public again Granite!" came the familiar voice from a easily identifiable man in red plate.
And then the pain came....
He was pushed from behind by an armored figure who began to rain punch's kicks, and tiny slash's from a sword down upon the paralised Genasi. Granite was a hardy man, able to withstand great amounts of punishment and it is that fact alone that probably spurred the lengthy beating. The rain of pain finally abated, allowing Granite to roll over to his side, painfully aware of blood pouring from what he quickly realised were countless wounds and bruisers, his body roared with fire.
Granites world dimmed black.....
If there were any witness's they didnt see fit to report it, after all its often believed that Harmonium's issueing beatings is a common sight so late at night, as common as over-sexed tiefling women.....

Granite sat up in the lush bed, his back against the head board as he looked around groggily. He didnt remember much since the night of his beating, only that he had passed out somewhere and was carried to and attended by the beautiful Ixia Larkspur and Dom. He remembered a few other people in the room a few days prior, and after telling his story most people didnt believe him, couldnt believe Raifael would do such a thing.
The room was empty as he awoke, and he listened intently hopeing that lady Ixia would be present in the kitchen or somewhere in one of the two rooms attached to her bedroom, but alas all was quiet. He gently proded the stitched and cleaned wounds along his body and groaned as he remembered Dom standing over him with a needle and magical thread. He sat slowly, his body stiff from days of motionless and sat up on the edge of the bed, glanced over to Ixias array of stuffed creatures around the room and sighed. He suddenly felt restless all of a sudden and, useing a nearby broom managed to hobble (And sweep while doing so!) around the apartment.
He managed to...somewhat clean and organize the kitchen and wash room, he manged to eventually clean his clothes of blood and sweat (Ixias public and "private cloths" unfortunatly got swept into the cleaning fury, just another set of bystanders claimed by an overly neat man of military upbringing). When all was said and done the room looked slightly better, though Granite found himself very frustrated at being unable to press Ixias bed sheets, which he decided were irrevocably wrinkled, and also at his lack of ability to neatly fold the amount of fabric (or lack there of) of Ixias under clothes which he ended up just laying unfolded neatly in her dresser.
He decided to try a jaunt to the Bazaar for some fresh air which turned out to be a bad idea, as it was extremely tireing and lady ixia, bless her concern ended up ordering him back to the room.
Several days later, as he was sitting down in the Foul Spirit for soup the door creaked open and his world seemed to freeze. The flow of time slowed, then suddenly spun as he beheld Raefiel entering the inn. The Genasi stood in a panic and backed over, knocking his chair over as he fled upstairs to the room. He hobbled inside and shut the door, grabbing his giant Halberd with all the strength he could muster and scrambling into the wash room. He would don his armor if he had a chance and the energy but he knew he had neither.
"Granite? You awake? I've brought Raif with me" the voice came so sweet and concerned but the words shoved a dagger into his heart.
"I've brought Raif with me..."
"You've brought him to finish me off?!" he yelled as he braced himself on the side of the door, his halberd raised high.
"Yes" cames Raif's cold hearted reply.
A long moment of silence.
"Raif leave him alone" came a female voice, which was ignored as soon as the soldier realised where Granite was and picked up his step towards the wash room.
Silence, except for a door knob turning.
The door opened, thankfully it opened outward so Raif would have to step back. Granite had focused his mind, calling into account raifs physical structure, so he knew where to aim his halberd for maximum damage.
The door opened.
"You'll not find me easy pray this time!" Granite screamed with an air shaking roar as he lunged forward and connected squarely with raifs torso. The room erupted in a chaos at that moment, despite Ixia being a powerful wizard it was clearly unwise to get in the middle of the whirlwind of combat between the two men, though she did use her powerful voice to scream at them to stop.
Dom however, was not so controlled and after seeing both men so engaged probably realised the damage they could do to each other if left uncontrolled and with out making a muscle flex sent both of the entangled men slamming to the ground with a hand of force. The two men were battered and brusied, though Granite was far worse by far due to a lock of armor. He now sported dozens of more wounds and fresh bruises that oozed blood onto the floor.
He didnt remember much of what happened after that, only Raif saying he had wanted Granite to suffer being the reason he left Granite alive several nights before, and also Raif attempting to grab ahold of the genasi one last time to strangle what little life was left in the earth born man....and water, skittering back into the wash room and into the pool....
He came around sometime later, the room empty except for himself and lady Ixia tending his wounds with a kind hand, an assurance that she would get to the bottom of this, and with a loving kiss on his cheek came an assurance he was safe in her room, safe from Raifael.
Sleep came soon after....
