The following message is circulated through active patrols.

An arrests warrant has been issued for the half fiend calling themselves Boggart.  If seen his is to be detained and charged with grand theft.  He is a member of The Fated but also believed to have ties to The Revolutionary Leqgur he should be considered extremely dangerous and should not be approached alone.

((Ooc: I probably don't need to say this but I will anyway. As happy as I am to have PC Hardheads attempt to bring Boggart in, please be mindful of the servers rules regarding pvp.

A letter is also sent directly to Measure Hogarth Thorn.

The chief suspect in the case of a missing Sensate stone is one Roog Boggart.  As a member of The Fated he has been seen quite frequently in the company of Factor Rhistel Aidain.  Given the current political feeling between The Society of Sensation and The Fated we think it best to eliminate The Factor as a suspect as soon as possible.  As you have worked with him before I think you are best suited to this task.  Please bare in mind The Factor's rank and station and detain and question him with the up most delicacy.   I have enclosed a warrant for the search of his  premises in The Clerks Ward.

The Half Orc reads through the orders once again, puts them aside and gets himself a cup of tea to think.

He has met this Fated- at that time a Factotum- briefly, once.

It seems he rose through the hierarchy quickly enough and he seems to have friends in the Hardheads as well. H
is orders are not to investigate, not to find who is behind this but instead to eliminate this Taker as a suspect.

Most unusual- and not an order he really likes.

But duty is duty and he writes a response to the Mover.

After visiting the Taker Hograth returns to his office to write his report:

Sir,

I was able to talk to Factor Aidan. He ptoved to be very cooperative and while he knows this man called Boggart he seems to be no friend of his. The man visited his place several time uninvited but Factor Aidan never considered him a real threat.

The Factor offered his cooperation in finding out about the source of the Faction Badge the suspected anarchist used and promised to forward all information he finds to our investigators. Also I learned that the suspect is rather elusive and has a strong mind or is otherwise able to resist mental effects and is well trained in the use and creation of poisons and explosives so suggest to inform our patrols about this facts immediately

I hereby request to be informed about the identity of the officer in charge of the investigations concering the badge and the events at theFesthall to ensure a smooth flow of informations.

The personell left at his estate are still busy with searching it and I await their report in one to two days.

A letter would reach Measure Thorn via private courier as he leaves the barracks for duty.
The message written on it is really brief, and seems to consist mostly in numbers and names.

Hograth would accept the note and head back into the barracks, reading the letter in his office, alone.

He will then look through the names listed and personally gets their files, reading through each of them. The Half orc looks for potential contacts to the Anarchists- be it relatives having been involved or targetted by the Revolutionary League or also smaller things like odd behavior or longer, unexplained leave from their duties.

Of course the list he got will be checked with the assignment order for the search as well.

Next he will check their background for ties to both the Sensates and the Takers as well- just to be sure.

All members of the squad would have unblemished records. Notary Mackay's nephew through marriage is a Fated clerk and Namer Simmion's Grand mother now deceased was a Sensate.

Hograth is pleased by the result, writes a very inofficial note to Rhistle.

everything is neat and clean, no rats in the house.

H.T.
It is delivered by a a small construct- one of those sold by Root of Nine.

The construct would come back to the barracks, carrying no written reply but with an actual vocal message the drone says to come from the recipient of the previous note.
He would then repeat the words in a metallic and monotone voice.

Code: Select all

I am  afraid I will need to report for a missing person. Please wait for news from me as I check this is not a false alarm. Name: Neerepha. Race: Air Genasi. Last seen place as for now: the Bazaar

Hograth frowns at these news- he remembers this name as one of the people living in Rhistle's household. He also remembers her having seen her briefly at Khazeet's once.

She is part of the Factor's household- a household that has been visited by a suspected Anarchist several times.

Her vanishing at this time is highly suspicious- making her both a potential suspect as well as a potential victim.

He knows that time might be important should the genasi be a victim of some crime and so he writes and answer to the Taker and also gives out some orders to the patrols:
wrote: To: Rhistel Aidan, Factor, Fated
From: Hograth Thorn, Measure III

Sir,

these are most troubling news.

I have instructed all patrols to keep their eyes open for the genasi and will keep you informed about any progress.

the air genasi known as Nereepha has gone missing and we must suspect she has been victim of a crime.

She is....<description follows> .

Proceed with great caution as we have to expect Revolutionary League involvement.

Not long after the construct arrives with the message there is a knock at Hogarth's door and Notary Gamsby enter's. He salutes the Half Orc.

"He is my report from the search sir."

He hands Hogarth a very neat report.

"I will save you some reading though, we found this."

He also hands Hogarth a Sensate stone.
