Fey Events

Most characters I've spoken to ICly about the Fey attacks have shrugged it off as "just another day in Sigil." I don't know if that's just the players I've spoken to downplaying it but, if it is a major thing, could you perhaps PM us a couple of thread links I can go over to reacquaint myself with the over-arching plot of the server. (this is the over-arching plot right?)

or you know. You could find the thread in the in-character section that has the word fey in it. But that information about the plot would not be gained without finding said characters--

as a note, yes, not everyone knows, but quite a few do with how serious it is.

I'm sure the lady would stomp any real threat. I also imagine the whole DM team would make it very clear if something seriously compromised the city to a degree the lady's control is at risk. That's not to say factions can't be targeted or no fights happen.

I've also seen people in character talk about the law of the land, the land funnily enough being the entire planes. A somewhat bold statement to assume such wide sovereignty, but you know, characters each have their own perspective.


On topic I'm pleasantly surprised the fated actually spoke up and honored their indep allies. =)

Player houses have been sieged, Faction Bases have been infiltrated and stolen from, and there have been devastating attacks all around the city for 8-10 months now.  Is it a war on the scale of the Faction War?  No.  But it is a war, and the attitudes of the Pale Prince and Raven Queen have always treated it as such.

Eh... Last time I inquired about the situation to a DM, Kala got told that nothing had happened in the Lower Ward nor around the foundry so it's difficult to see the whole menace as "global" threat or any kind, as she never was able to witness anything up to this point. She's almost feeling like people are raving and being paranoid for nothing or that it's only something that is directed at a few characters while the rest is completely ignored and can live their lives as if nothing ever happened.

As far as I can remember the Fey have created an attack against the Great Bazaar, the Clerks Ward and "Lower Ward Shipyard", I'm not 100% if this was in actual shipyard within Lower Ward or if it was a portal from Lower Ward, but there was definitely fey attacking the Lower Ward as well. The actual attack happened around a Fraternity of Order warehouse, I'll omit the actual details and assume people ought to learn that much IC instead.

And I'm sure that I've missed some general area attacks as well, these are just the three I've had a character involved at.

Though it's clear that largely the issue is internal fey matters in the planes, and what's coming at Sigil is merely the conflict spilling over a little here and there, which is kind of why it's not perceived as imminent threat. But I think Factions would be fairly interested in mitigating even the spills where they can. Lets compare this to the Blood War, if it started to really spill over to Sigil in the same scales, surely the Factions would like to keep tabs on it? It's not something they're issuing to solve in grand scales, but it's something they rather keep out of Sigil so they can get back to petty squabbling of which streets are whose and how do they make other faction totally look at blame for the problems.

Again the main issue if that information doesn't flow and nothing happens directly to people or things they care about, they're going to feel like others are just making up a story to get some attention because they got in trouble. I mean factions who've never been attacked by the feys in any way would likely not care at all and just watch their rivals get all the flak. Its difficult to believe that something is public when it seems to only impact the same 8-10 people every time, that there's no public information about it and that all the evidences seem to be pointing it has only impacted that small group so far.

Pcs stopped posting in the event thread some time ago and just been letting things flow ic. it sounds more like a timing issue and 8-10 players with our base you have admit is quite a bit. Consdering there was like 15-20 last event involved ..

I don't think the event thread is a problem, reading what your characters are doing while not being present is kinda metagamey. The main issue is that key public IC information isn't communicated so everyone can acknowledge that what is happening IC has a real incidence in the public affairs of the city and acknowledge there's a problem during a council meeting, since on their side everything is quiet. Also on a pure IC sense, the city isn't populated by 40 people our characters are just a minority of "special snowflakes", there are millions of NPCs surrounding them and they do not seem to know anything about it.

I fail to see how the Raven Queen threatening to extract 10,000 souls from Sigil and the Pale Prince desiring to wipe out all mortal life across the multiverse isn't a global threat.
