Harmonium Meeting

Mover Cass sets up the meeting room within the Harmonium barracks in one of the corner conference rooms. He makes sure the room is stocked with refreshments and light snacks, as he expects a long but complete meeting. He nods knowing action will be taken after this meeting as mere words and or diplomacy has failed to work so far.

He waits for Shamus Inodine, Caterina Arnders, Measure Crytbane and Measure Chari. He rubs his hands in anticipation,

Shamus would enter and salute as required. He would stand ready until told to rest easy. Once done he would take a chair at the table and wait.

[*Midnight]

Caterina arrives shortly after. Her hair is pinned back her black tunic perfectly pressed and tidy. Not being of any Harmonium rank she does not salute she acknowledges Shamus whom she seems to recognize with a nod before taking a seat.

Shamus glances at Caterina with slight confusion. Although he is wondering what a Guvner is doing here, he decides to remain quiet until the Mover permits otherwise.

[*Midnight]

A practiced negotiator Caterina notices the look and inwardly she smiles. Outwardly she gives nothing away. This was going to be a very different battle from anything the Notary had experienced before, one where she was the perfect soldier.

Mover Cass salutes Shamus and greets Caterina with a smile and tells them to take a seat, telling them refreshments have been provided.

Chari arrives as well in time with everyone else. After saluting all in the room and giving Caterina a warm smile she takes a seat and starts to unpack her small leather case, taking out documents and unfolding a map of the Hive ward, complete with dotted lines and markings. After several minutes the map as well several stacks of documents are laid out on the table and Chari helps herself to a glass of water.

She introduces herself as Measure Chari.

"Hello everyone. I am Measure Chari. I have worked almost exclusively within the Hive Ward district which I requested a transfer to. I has experience in countering the actions of the Anarchist and have had the chance to meet with Phoenix himself.

I have a map with current patrol routes as well as stations marked on the map as well as local Anarchist and criminal territory. The stacks of papers that you see are all related to intelligence we have in the Hive ward as far as Anarchist activities go and well as the required legal paperwork such as warrants and indictments. "

After the brief introduction she sits down and gives the floor to the next person.

Shamus looks at the material briefly.

"An impressive assortment of intelligence... but we are still shackled by bureaucracy. In order for this to work, we need to change our current status to one of an official status of war against the Revolutionaries. We can all see what happens when we leave our defense to the council to decide. It is why we still find ourselves under constant attack and having to hold back for so very long.

As criminals... they hide behind the skirts of the Fraternity when it suits them. As enemy combatants under the War Measures act... they no longer have that opportunity. The Harmonium won't release these vermin back on the streets due to technicalities and loop holes. We'll do what needs to be done to ensure the safety of our troops, our families... the entire city.

It is time to crush the Revolution. No more stonewalling in the council."

[*Midnight]

Caterina listens to the introduction she glances over the map of the hive and as the refreshments are offered she takes a glass of heavily watered wine. If any of the information is to hand she would begin to read it but she says nothing yet, she does not respond to the comments about council and bureaucracy. As always she bides her time preferring to listen than to speak

Mover Cass inclines his head towards Caterina.

"The issue of bureaucracy and red tape is why Arnders was called. What can the Guvners do to streamline the process so that the Harmonium can act on intelligence without waiting days to get the proper clearances?"

As she notices she is the focus of attention Caterina takes a sip of her wine orders her papers and buys herself a few seconds thinking time. When she does respond it is with a question of her own.

"Of course Mover. Before I can answer that accurately I need to understand what it is the Notary proposes, there was a lot of rhetoric there about shackles and stone walls and something about a skirt, I'm sure its all very pretty but its the facts I am interested in."

She still addresses the room but her gaze has shifted to Shamus her tone still one of neutral inquiry, if the rhetoric she mentioned got a rise of her she is careful not to show it.

"What you propose is the abolition of the current judicial system in order to allow the Harmonium to hold those they suspect of being anarchists without trial and indefinitely. Internment if you will?"
