There where signs and portents. Warnings and cryptic mutterings but they were ignored. Long had Sigiliains felt safe in their cage. The multiverse from the pits of Baator to the shining heavens of Celstia knew no one messes with Sigil. Recently that belief was shattered and on the final day of The Cage Carnival a time when the City of Doors celebrated its status as the centre of The Multiverse portals opened and horrors from beyond worlds, creatures that even the most jaded of planewalkers had never seen before wreaked havoc in the streets of the cage killing as they will. Many escaped they lurk within the cage carrying out whatever sinister purpose brought them. Perhaps most worryingly The Lady of Pain, Sigil's protector has not stopped them, indeed has not even been seen. Could The Lady have abandoned the cage in its time of greatest need.
((OOC: So this evenings events saw the start of a collaborative campaign ran by the dm team. For the ease of coordinating things I have started this thread here for players who were already involved, and for those who were not involved but want to be this a server wide thing the chances are your pcs will have heard something so do not be shy.

Kiera listened to news of the events with mixed emotions. She had spent the day in prayer and devotions to her Goddess only to find the city had suffered a terrible attack. The pain and suffering was almost palpable, something she could almost taste when she took in a deep breath. Despite the pleasure to be gained by such wanton torment, Kiera knew she had a duty to her chosen home, and the neighbors she must live with. Only a fool believes she can live in a world alone, without the benefit of others.
The pain maiden walks the streets, looking for some sign that might help return order to the Cage. Something that may help end the suffering, but not too quickly.

When he arrives at The Hall of Records Ra'zeth finds that it has been closrd to none faction members. After showing his badge and answering sevetal questions to prove who he is, he is allowed in. He finds the hall in a state of chaos. Archivists rush frantically to find information about the new threat. What makes the scene look more dire is thanks to the warning provided by Sil and acted upon by Ra'zeth there were fated mercenaries guarding the carnival. Although they no doubt helped defend the carnival several of them lie wounded around the hall. One of them a tall human warrior with a scar down his cheek and several more along his muscled arms sits bare chested as a wound on his side is bandaged. One would guess judging from his appearance he is not a man who is easily shaken, but a cold breaks out on his skin.
"You were right Factotum they were everywhere. They looked one way but really they were another. It hurt to even look at them. They got inside people's minds and bodies. Turned them against us. It was horrible out there."

Rumours are starting to circulate quickly:
- about some Sensates who are hiding one of the creatures just for the experience of possession and madness.
- about some in the Gatehouse being able to see this things, despite them wearing the flesh of others.
- about of a Tharizdun cultist rallys followers to welcome the invaders, willing to serve them as messengers of their god.
- about a mage who were able to catch one of them, now trying to graft pices of it onto helpless slaves, even trying to get those creatures to interbreed with selected species.
- about beings called Tsochari who seem to hail from wherever this invaders came from but who seem to oppose them, perhaps for their own dark reasons.
- and there are others...

"Your sacrifice will not be forgotten, my fellow brothers and sisters." he tells the wounded warrior, then turns to the rest of the warriors, archivists and who ever else was still present "But we must understand that this is a threat we cannot face alone! I call upon those Fated who would think of fighting this threat a part of their destiny, a way to claim greater fame and glory, and not just an opportunity to further pressure the weak and take what they can't keep, to rally with me and march to form a greater alliance against this foe! Fear not, this is just a temporary measure, but our reputation as a Faction would finally soar, and for once, even those blighted tax evading commoners would look up to our stand!"Midnight,Jun 30 2014 wrote: When he arrives at The Hall of Records Ra'zeth finds that it has been closrd to none faction members.

After finishing his speech, he'd turn to the messenger from Hograth and tell him this:
wrote:"Meet me with all the manpower you can muster at Planeswalker's Row, we need to discuss this and act as quickly as possible."

An answer for Ra:
Another note for Dace:
wrote: Ra'zeth,
my squad is still undergoinga process of screening and checks to determine possession. Before they are cleared I have no troops to command.
However I suggested several actions to my superiors already and to not be idle myself I asked the Guvners for informations about portals leading to the prime.
By blocking those we hope to prevent the threat from spreading. I suggest you use your forces to hunt them, while we keep them contained.
Hograth

I suggest to meet soon too coordinate our efforts. Harmonium and Takers will be able to provide troops and I ask the indeps to be our eyes.
We also need informations about the most important portals quickly, so we can start with containment procedures as fast as possible.
To coordinate with the Takers approachr Factotum Ra'zeth.
Hograth.
