Over a series of nights, printed posters gradually appear on walls in the Hive; while not huge in number, they are distributed along the busier roads and at intersections, in order that it's difficult to walk the streets without seeing at least one of them; their letters are bold and clear, that attention might be drawn at a glance
My Brothers and Sisters of the Hive.
You and I know a war is being waged. You, the innocent children of the Cage, are controlled by a system made not for you; you are crushed under the boots of people with an interest in keeping you small, in choking your voice and making you think things can never change.
The Guvners, with their sweet, treacherous words, make your freedom criminal and make the true crimes of their cronies just. The Hardheads are more interested in the rights of the criminal who pays their bribes than 'protecting' you or your children. The Red Death exist to bleed those unfortunate of us who are made an example of, those who live too freely or dare to question the status quo, making the harvest one reaps from asserting his natural rights a fate worse than death.
Sometimes it seems like the only place a cutter has to himself is his own mind. But wouldn't you know it, our overlords have their eye on this, too.
Is it not a body's right to believe what he would? Is it not his just duty to be faithful to his own thoughts? Not according to the Defiers. Not according to the mighty Athar. These inquisitors think to shape our very souls to a form that suits them; they grind away at us day and night with their propaganda until we, my brothers, begin to parrot them, until we begin to do their job for them; they beat the noble emissaries and teachers of the powers whenever they are sighted, but they plan to never have to. They plan to have every one of us conditioned to respond 'No Gods on the Spire!' and turn our back on hope, on strength and resolve.
For this is their motive. They say the faithful are wrong. They say they seek to educate. They say they look for their 'true' power. Lies. They are a part of the machine that controls you, that oppresses and pushes you; they see the comfort a God can bring to its followers, the resolve it can place in their spirits and the certainty it brings to their mind. They see these things and tremble; is it any wonder they despise the sacred? The mighty? The uniting?
So hate the three headed monster of poisoned justice and twisted order, by all means. But hate too those who police your very soul. There will be a reckoning, fear not, mine comrades - and remember, every prayer is rebellion.
Yours in the Revolution,
The Priest.

Posters in a similar tone, albeit much more expertly produced in a bright crimson print, begin to reappear, again signed by 'The Priest'. Some merely restate the general thesis of anti-Athar agitation and some actively encourage resistance both violent and non-violent.
