Coralina was born in Barovia at some point before Strahd came to power. If she became a vampire before or after he killed his brother, trapping the country in the mists she has never said. What is sure is that when Barovia entered the mists she went with it. She spent the next few centuries trying to find a way to escape, at times wandering the mists for years. During this time she slowly became aware of The Dark Powers that controlled this mists and trapped domains and people in the pocket plane. She was even able to travel into The Near Ethereal. She eventually offered up her body and soul to The Dark Powers hoping to gain their blessing and possible escape the mists. When Azalin triggered The Grand Conjunction early, Coralina was able to cross into one of the material primes during the massive upheaval. She spent a few more centuries on this prime world, before eventually stumbling onto a portal to Sigil.
