Pacing into the Barracks with her head held high, Karyn approaches the desk in the lobby and places her fist to her chest over her heart with a slight bow. Her bracers give off a dull clang against her armor, followed by a scrape of metal as she stands tall once more.

"Lady's Grace. I wish to inquire about taking up arms in the name of peace within our city."

An rather grumpy looking old man with an eye patch, wearing a large ornamented armor observed the woman, then nodded.

- Lady's Grace m'lady, we always welcome smart and dutiful cutters among our ranks. Do you have experience in military duty ? Also, are you informed about our faction ideology ?

"Yes, Sir." Karyn nodded, her gloved hands moving to clasp neatly behind her back.

"My Father served for a time before he passed on, so I'm aware of the basics. As for military training, I've served in a number of such roles in the primes and know how to follow orders, if that's what you are truly asking." the faintest ghost of a smile quirks one side of her lips and she dips her head once more.

"I'm always willing to learn, Sir."

The hint if an appreciative smile traced on the man's lips as he noded.

- Your father you said and what was the good man's name if I may ask ?

"Dorian d'Fiennes, Sir." she stated clearly, without hesitation. "Held no position of notable rank, mind you. He was one of many namers within the sea of red, but he was a good man."

- I do not remember any d'Fiennes I'm afraid. Well... if you wish to join the ranks. I guess you can already skip most of the physical training, I suppose one week should be enough so you get familiar with our usual tactics, especially the use of the planar mancatcher. For the rest...

He handed her two small books

- The first one is the Book of the Harmonium, that describes our internal rules and regulations, the second is the Sigil Municipal Code. This one is for your daily duty as a guard in this city. Once you've read and learned the basics, you'll be allowed to patrol the streets.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OCC : I guess you can assume her training phase is over as soon as you want to start patrolling in-game. Its up to you.

As for the books, these are the two threads.

"Right. Thank you, Sir." she bends forward at the hip in a half bow, extending her arms to take the books which she tucks tightly under her arm. Tapping her fist to her breastplate in salute, her eyes briefly scan the surrounding area before focusing on the man's single eye.

"Whom should I speak to in regards to these 'tactics', uniforms and other duties?"

Karyn reads over the form with a keen eye, scanning it's contents. Sucking her teeth thoughtfully, she proceeds to fill in the requested details and then signs her name on the dotted line.

Name: Karyn d'Fiennes.
Birthplace: Sigil.
Languages Known: Common, Celestial, Infernal.
Marital Status: Unattached.
[[ Insert etc details here, PM if needed ]]

Expressing solemn gratitude, she thanks the older man and departs for the quarters assigned to her with metal boots clicking down the dreary hallway.

Before she departed the old man hailed her.

He handed it to her, with a smile.
